Been looking at the Mazda 3. Fully specced got an offer back for £23,500 (including 4300 off for carwow). Nice looking car with an awesome interior. Im also kind of tired of VW's perpetual cost cutting while upping prices. This whole Dieselgate and trying to claw the money back through again ...

I have a GTI+ for over a year now ( 6000 KM).
No problem over this year.

Pros:
- Very fast and fun to drive.
- Fuel consumption - not bad.

Cons:
- Not enough comfortable especially on rough road - very firm.
- Not having Deviation from path alarm and correcting
- Not having blind spot alarm ...

I compared the computer calculated consumption to the real consumption ( at the gas station).
Speed:100 KMH Trip: 70 KM.
Computer: 17 KML.
Pump: 15 KML.

1.Just return from a 75 Km highway drive with my polo GTI 2019 at constant speed of 96 KPH (60 MPH).
Got 19 KM per Liter (53 MPG).
2. On the same road but driving at 110 KPH ( 68 MPH) I got 16 KPL ( 45MPG ).

Not bad at all.

Looks like you have some connection problem - most probably on the car side.
Maybe you have to change the USB connectors.

I have a 2019 polo GTi with 3500 Km.
Just returned from a 70 Km highway driving at a speed of 100 Km/H.
Fuel consumption was 17 Km/L ( 48 Miles per British gallon).
Average consumption for the 3500 Km (most of them in the city) is 11 Km/L (31M/G).

Have a polo GTI for 7 months - 3500Km, 11Km/L mostly in the city.
No problems at all. Drive like a charm. Hope it will continue.

It is very use full - especially when you are parking in a narrow spots and do not want to bump your car into another car.
