Where can you get that from clawz? I've a Head Unit from the US and i can only get about half the radio stations clearly here in ireland. It'd definatly be worth it...even tho i dun listen to the radio that much... How much do you reckon it'd be?

I changed my gear knob to a momo one when i got the car. I'm nearly sure it's called a momo raptor. You have to pull up the old one and then pull the leather cover down over the rest of the gear knob. There's a solid metal clip around the VW gearknob at the bottom. I've seen one in black and it looks classy. There's one about 40 miles from where i live when i'm at uni in dublin. Me and my friends often see it when we head down to the beach there (not in this weather mind).

I'd be interested in cruise control for sure - i drive like 300 miles a week minimum. It's something i've thought about before but never really got around to looking into properly and if it was only £100 - why not do it....?

€125 isn't too bad.....i got quoted €175 + €60 (labour) to chrome up my dash. Brushed aluminium/chrome is all the same to me if it saves me over 100 euro

Will the new head unit fit directly into the slot that the old one comes out of or does it need a spacer or something? It seems to me that the VW head unit's are not DIN sized...i.e. they appear to be taller than most other head unit....could just be my eyes ...

o yeah and on a more vw / audio related question....When i remove the old stereo (BETA VW one) will the sony one just click right in and wire up easily or is it more complicated that i expect? Do i need some kind of adapter for the wiring or indeed do i need an adapter to hold the actual head unit ...

What's that? acd changer? or just a CD holder? If's it's a CD holder it'd be useful....perhaps more so than a covered tray style cubby hole...If it is a CD holder - it only holds 4CDs? or does more than one CD fit in each lil drawer?
