I know it's an old thread but looking for these as well.

What did you pay for them from the dealers please?

Re: Polo 1.4 TDI Blue Motion 1

Too early to tell. Only got it a couple of months back. Think it is on about 80k. Given it a full service when my wife bought it - oil/filters (all), brake fluid, new CV boot, cambelt, coolant. It's got a slight noise from the clutch which I think is the release bearing but not too bad at the moment...

Re: Losing steering when braking 9N3

Nice posting there, I hope the OP appreciated it? Sorry to the OP - I didn't mean to sound brusque. It's just that braking whilst cornering is really bad practice and dangerous. I know - many years ago a friend who had recently passed her test took me out in her car and very nearly killed both of u...

Re: Losing steering when braking 9N3

First of all - NEVER brake whilst cornering. really bad practice and dangerous! Always brake before a corner and carry the speed through.

Secondly - I have no idea why your car is doing this but it would be a good start to post up what the codes (if any) are from the stored faults

Re: Green Brake Fluid?

All the brake lines seem to be OE so I don't think it is that. I'll just keep an eye on the brakes and test them rigorously.

Doing my Octavia tomorrow so hopefully I'll get usual coloured fluid out.

Green Brake Fluid?

Did a brake fluid change on the wife's Polo today. NSF-OSF-NSR-OSR as per Haynes. Fluid was a little dark on front two but not too bad. NSR and it came out green! Like cloudy Fairly Liquid!! Flushed it through with plenty of new fluid using my Gunson EasyBleed. OSR was a little green but not as bad ...

Re: 1.4 TDI BNM Engine - Coolant pressurizing

If I had filled a system with G13, I'd be very concerned to find that colour and extra nasties in my coolant. Unless the camera used had very poor colour rendering I'd say that looks very blue to me, nothing like purple G12/G12+/G12++/G13! Possibly - cameras are really bad at rendering blue/purple ...

Re: 1.4 TDI BNM Engine - Coolant pressurizing

That just looks like Purple VW G13 coolant to me. See: https://www.wolflubes.com/EN_EU/Blog/2016/What-you-need-to-know-about-G13-antifreeze-and-coolant.aspx There appears to be no oil on top (can't see that clearly through glass) or corrosion sediment. Seems OK to me. Drain flush and refill if you f...

Re: 1.4 TDI BNM Engine - Coolant pressurizing

Might be the Oil Cooler has failed or lack of proper coolant? Draw off a sample of the black water from the header tank using a syringe or similar and place in a clean glass. Leave to stand to see if oil floats to the top or if sediment settles on the bottom. Sediment would be from corrosion - possi...
