And the good news is the Dealer rang me within an hour of the car being delivered to them to say it was the coil, and it's been replaced under warranty, no charge sir.

So they'll definately be getting it in a few weeks time when it needs it's 30k service!

Miss firing. Could be a simple coil pack replacement.... could be something else (can't remember what i'd had replaced under similar symptoms).

If it's under warranty then obviously vw will fix it for free. :)

Collected my 9n 1.2 SE last night, very pleased indeed with it, absolutely ideal for the small amounts of local driving I do now (since I got a motorbike for the high-speed stuff ;) ) and it was very pleasant on the longish drive home, and was surprisingly happy & quiet at 85mph on the motorway ...

While we're talking about the port, is there an FAQ anywhere on it's purpose etc? I'm assuming its a serial (or similar) port connecting to the car's computer to which you can attach a PC running some special software which allows you to change things like getting the car to automatically lock at ...

Just a thought as an alternative. I have an ipod style hard disk music player that can fit in my cupholder, does anyone know of a head unit with a front mounted (or otherwise easily accessible) line-in that I could connect it ot, or a way of connecting a line-in to the Gamma radio?

Anyone seen/heard/tried on of these? Especially interested if anyone is running one of these with the standard speakers in a 2002 Polo SE?

Well, I'm not seeing many of these incredibly cheap SE's on autotrader..

Just had the dealer on the phone, the person that was trading in the Polo has sold it privately so I won't be buying it.. Anyone know where in the Camberley/Farnborough/Reading area I can look for an 1.4 SE (or better) in good nick at a decent price?
