Re: Polo gti Michelin pilot sport 5
In my first 2 years of ownership I racked up so many speeding fines, now I drive like an old man and only use the power for overtaking

Re: Polo gti Michelin pilot sport 5
Is it a new vehicle or second hand? I doubt VW would equip a premium brand of tyre from factory since they usually prefer Bridgestone's or Conti's because they are cheaper. Could you also confirm if its 225 or 215, 17 or 18 inch rims?

Re: New Polo GTI Query
Hi Scott
Welcome to the forum.
I had a similar issue with the sound actuator and had it disabled by VW. Others say using Eco mode (under individual profile) also helps.
Wrt cabin noise, no problem my side, even at 160Km/h one does not need to shout in order to hold a conversation.

Re: What did you and your Polo do today?
Took my Polo GTI+ on a 209 mile round trip this morning; the longest trip it’s ever done. Most of the journey was dual carriageway or motorway so I was able to maintain a steady speed close to the national speed limit most of the time. Driving time; 4 hrs 4 mins Ave speed; 52 mph Fuel consumption; ...

Re: Reduced Polo range
Apologies if this has been discussed. Looking tonight at the VW site… New Match Polo No 110 bhp engine on any model No GTI It may be worthwhile giving the dealer a call to find out. From past experience I use the manufacturer website as a reference but always call the sales agent for correct inform...

Re: We Connect Go discontinued
I'm not sure if there is a replacement since most of their cars now come from factory already connected rendering the blutetooth device obsolete. If there is a replacement I'm sure someone in the know will respond.

Although a little old now, this youtuber specialises in tyre reviews:

He does also have a PS5 review elsewhere I believe,

Re: 2024 Model Year Polo R Line
I checked the VW configurator here in South Africa and it seems the vehicle retains the rain sensor as standard equipment if the client opts for matrix LED. The website however seems to have the Polo R Line equipped with the GTI red stripe on the grille but suspect this is a glitch. https://www.vw.c...

Re: Lowering mirrors when reversing
Yeah I learnt the hard way in 2019 because I went back to the dealer thinking something had packed up with the motor behind the glass. Felt a bit stupid if I am honest but had I bothered to RTFM it would have caused me less stress Now I just leave the knob on L.

Re: GTI engine information
Would the best idea to figure out what motor is the car to head to VW and ask them? If it’s important to you to know then, probably yes. The workshop techs at your dealership ought to know - they should know the engine variant of the cars they work on. I’d be less confident the sales staff at your ...

Re: Resorted to using my old TomTom today
If you download the maps for AA then it will work (when there is no signal) although there would also be no live traffic information but map directions would be fine.

I listened to the clip on full volume and couldn't hear the noise you speak off but then I am old and slightly hard of hearing. Sorry mate.

Re: My auto lock when I drive off has stopped locking , any ideas ?
When I leave home I need to reverse the car out of the garage but can confirm the doors auto-lock when the car moves forward again. It's a 2019 model pre-facelift.
