Re: Estimated repair cost?...

Cheers everyone, it's all booked in for repairs in a couple weeks. I'm reasonably mechanically minded, but I've decided to just let the body shop handle everything as it still doesn't add up to the total payout of the insurance and saves me the time/peace of mind.

Re: Estimated repair cost?...

As an update - Admiral have said they're happy for me to keep the salvage as a Cat N write off. Took it to one of the repair shops this morning whilst I still had insurance on it and got a quote of around £1000 to fix everything bodywork wise up. Only bad news is that they don't have availability ti...

As far as I can see. Obviously I can't see what's hiding, but nothing under the bonnet has been visibly knocked out of place and the chassis still looks dead straight.

Re: Estimated repair cost?...

A write off for this? Hmmmmm.... If you're able to source some used parts in colour (or color, unsure which is en-GB and which is en-US) you'll be doing fine: - Front bumper with grills 150 - Front fender 100 - Headlight 50 -------------------+ 400 pound And a bit of labour for putting on the parts...

Estimated repair cost?...

Hi everyone, Recently messed up and got myself in the unfortunate position of an at fault accident. Unfortunately, the insurer's approve garage consider this to be a write off, but I'm headed out to get some quotes from a couple of local body shops soon, where the cost of a courtesy car won't need t...

Re: New headunit? A bit confused...

Amazing, thanks a tonne for that. Now feeling far more confident in getting it all hooked up! Honestly, it's a piece of cake! Just don't plug the fuse bit in first... you may cause a short. I can't show the other end yet. Let me know if you need it but the adapter for the radio has a red lead that ...

Re: New headunit? A bit confused...

I'll get you some photos of what I've done tomorrow if I remember. I ran mine off of the wiper fuse, towards the dash through a hole. Under the dash and up through into the head unit. It's loose but it does the job... doesn't dangle down. I could fix it up, but I've just pulled it out in preparatio...

Re: New headunit? A bit confused...

First thing that springs to mind The link to the ebay wiring harness is a quadlock to ISO adapter The canbus adapter is also quadlock to ISO so you don't need to buy both if you get this one you will still need the fakra aerial adapter separately However the headunit you linked to from what I can s...

New headunit? A bit confused...

Hi everyone - recently became a proud owner of a Polo 9N3! However, I'm currently pretty confused as to what I need to do in order to get an aftermarket headunit fitted to replace the stock RCD200 model which is currently installed. To be specific, I'm looking at getting an Atoto A6, listed here on ...
