Re: DTUK Pedal Box

Fitted the pedalbox today. Makes a big difference to the way the car responds to the accelerator. That ‘lag’ that was there has now gone. Had it on previous cars (Golf R’s) and made a massive difference on them too.

Re: What did you and your Polo do today?

I’ve had a few white cars over the years. Every time I say ‘I’m not getting another one’

Re: DTUK Pedal Box

Cheers. Only problem being mine is right hand drive and accelerator pedal is further away from centre console.

DTUK Pedal Box

Has anyone got one of these fitted? If so, where did you mount the keypad?

2019 R-Line - Engine Rusting!

Iron or steel parts will rust. I would have thought you would only get high power consumption with high load on battery. ie aircon, heated rear window on. My Gti engine seems to stop too much even though aircon has been on constant due to hot weather. I don’t think the 2.0tsi has to work very hard i...

GTI+ Ride Quality and Black Roof

I said painted roof because mine had what looked like glue marks where it had been masked off. Only noticed these first time I washed it. Black roof is a no cost option on Mini Cooper/ S.

Re: GTI+ Ride Quality and Black Roof

Having just came from a mk7 R to a gti+, I can confirm the ride in the gti is ‘softer’ in both normal and sport. The black roof on mine also looks as if has been painted and is not a wrap.

Re: Differences between 1.0TSI 95hp & 115hp variant

Just had a quick look but my Gti has the same 8 injectors my R had. The Polo looks like it has variable valve lift on the inlet where as the R had it on the outlet.

Re: GTI tyre change

Had Bridgestones and Continentals on previous two Golf Rs. Different car I know but Continentals far superior to Bridgestones. VW must get a good deal with them.

Missing my Polo

It’s quite a distance from you. Though I’m currently near Africa but the family is still home. And the dogs. [emoji6]
