Many Thanks guys.I have established the brakes are vents. The vented ones are nearly double the price of the solid variety. Decisions, decisions , I intend to keep this car for a long time. I had it MOTed yesterday and the bloody examiner went through it like a fine tooth comb try as he may he could...

What Have I Done
The wifes car had a flat battery. I decided to give it a jump start. I just was 'nt concentrating and somehow or other I made a mess of connecting the jump leads. I switched my car on. I then switched the wifes car on, and what happened next was frightening there was a lot of sparks , then black clo...

wiper blades
Yes they are. Mostly towards the top of the Blade. They are definitely
made by the blades , the marks follow the arc or sweep of the blades.

Wiper blades
Sorry I probably didn't explain or describe the problem very well. The marks are tracking marks left by the wiper blades. I tried Autoglym glass polish without success. Perhaps as you say it may well be the result of 10 years of wiping in the same place over and over again. Thank you for your help. ...

Wiper Blade marks
The cars nearly 10 years old It's definitely not dirt.
The marks are not scratches as such.
The best way i can describe them they are like impressions left by the
blades as they travel across a dry windscreen.
like lines on the same line and arc of the blade travel.

Wiper Blades
Wiper Blade marks on windscreen can't seem to polish them out.
The actual blades themselves seem to be ok.
Anyone any suggestions?.

10.000 mile service
I have never had a VW before (always had Vauxhall or Fords) I thought in a 10.000 service they would at least include Plugs and other bits and pieces etc. At £129 to change the oil and filter and supply me with a reort on whats wrong with my car , I think is daylight robbery. In future I'll change ...
