Re: What did you and your Polo do today?
can you upload a video to youtube of the exhaust sound? Is it resonated? It isn't resonated. After hard drives there is alot of sound from inside and I get the occasionally fart or bang from it but they are very few and far between. I have heard it does take a while to get the full sound out if the...

Re: Stop start and braking
Anyhow, I've found myself starting to put my car into N and then keeping my foot on the brake, but only when sat for awhile. I don't think you need to do that, if you're keeping your foot on the brake just keep it in D. The clutch will be disengaged automatically so there's no wear to worry about b...

Re: GTI DSG MPG
Car has been sat for about 2 weeks so decided to take her out today. Up and down the motorway with a few towns in between. Mixed speeds and on the motorway when clear of traffic I did some spirited acceleration. Not racing or hassling anybody. Just getting the revs up. Did that a few times then just...

Re: Stop start and braking
Yeah I knock it off most times. Unless I'm at lights I know take a while or as mentioned perhaps in a queue of traffic. Otherwise it is just annoying.

Re: Standard Bridgestones / wet driving
Aye the T005 is a better tyre. I can't remember what mine was standard. I want to say T001 or T002. But it's certainly not a tyre suited to a 200PS car. The Mk8 Fez ST I believe has Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tyres.... my Abarth 595 had Michelin PS4s standard. Yet the Polo GTi came with Bridgestone Tu...

Re: Standard Bridgestones / wet driving
Yeah the standard Bridgestone tyre is not the best. I was hoping when I found out (before buying the car) that the Bridgestone Turzana that it was the newer T005 which is actually decent - https://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Bridgestone/Turanza-T005.htm However I was shocked to see it was the older m...

Re: Peron Stage 1 Remap
So true but at the same time you also have something rather unique. Dont think I will ever go down that path, at most probably change out the stock exhaust when I get round to it because the vehicle is still in warranty. Having an aftermarket exhaust wont void warranty as long as it is OPF back. I ...

Re: 5000K bulbs
I'm running some HIDs in mine at the moment, but I'm ripping them out in the coming days. Just can't settle with them. Just nagging away in the back of my head. The diffuser in the reflector housing (which I don't see fitted on many cars) actually does a decent job with the HID bulb. Keeps the glare...

So how do the one's from China plug in and just work would be my q...

Re: Help - Polo 2.0 TSI GTI DSG horrible noise from rear
I want for EBC yellow stuff pads you still get a bit of noise with the standard discs but not as much as the vw pads. As for rear discs there are no manufacturers that are making groove rear discs at the moment for the gti I sent a email to Mtek to see if they will be doing some as the polo aw is n...

Re: Scuffed Leather
Shoe / Bag / Leather polish is a good shout. One of my old cars had red leather on the steering wheel (the fake pvc kind). Bought some red polish and went around the whole wheel. Came up trumps! :) Sometimes though with something faint like that, even just a clean and condition with some Gliptone ma...
