Re: What did you and your Polo do today?
I do believe they will fit if you get the correct size. I had a quick look on ebay but for my wheels with the matt black finish I couldn't find a set that would look good.

Re: What did you and your Polo do today?
Just wheels. I’m on a number of different VAG forums and I’ve expressed my dislike of diamond cut alloys from a practicality and durability point of view on those forums many, many times 🙂. I’m not a big fan of the white worm corrosion look for my wheels. I bookmarked these either early this year o...

Re: Polo Gti+ Pure White New Car Prep
Looks great Phil. Almost feel bad for my car now. Not been washed in over 2 months and has mud all over it from a 600mile journey I did last week

Re: GTI DSG MPG
My best was about 54mpg with a mixture of lanes and carriage ways but I tend to average the high 30's/low 40's.

Re: The Great Tyre Debate
[quote=SRGTD post_id=574804 time=1598907477 user_id=22543] And also be aware that diamond cut alloys are easily damaged when tyres are removed and fitted - by poorly maintained tyre changing equipment and / or inexperienced tyre fitters. So check your wheels carefully and agree their condition with ...

Re: Help - Polo 2.0 TSI GTI DSG horrible noise from rear
The Polo 2.0 GTI is produced right here in South Africa. I have the exact same issue and it’s driving me insane. Imagine folking out so much to have a car making so much noise when you reverse, it’s un-VW like. Anyway I’m taking this matter to VWSA, it’s obviously a manufacturing defect and they di...

Re: Help - Polo 2.0 TSI GTI DSG horrible noise from rear
So my car is 7 weeks old tomorrow and have not had this noise yet. The noise started 4 months in and 2000miles. When makes the sound you'll definitely hear it. To be honest it doesn't really bother me whenever I have a friend or family in the car we hum along with it. Its just become part of the ch...

Re: Honest opinion - anyone else regret buying their GTI?
I don't regret getting my GTI+ one bit. My last car was a 1.2 2012 Polo and although only had 69hp was still very fun to drive even after crashing it twice so the upgrade from that to the new car was substantial but in my job I regularly do testing and development work on cars such as Porsche Paname...

Re: Help - Polo 2.0 TSI GTI DSG horrible noise from rear
How hard really can this be to fix for a giant like VW. Realistically they need a car that is know to have the issue. Stick it on a rolling road and shove a bunch of sound and resonance sensors on the components in the rear arches. It's just lazy on their part. They're selling the cars and if doesn'...

Re: Help - Polo 2.0 TSI GTI DSG horrible noise from rear
Unfortunately this has not been solved yet and I recently became a victim of this mooing sound as it is referred to. Is has been discussed in depth in a different thread: https://uk-polos.net/viewtopic.php?f=71&t=72392&p=572543&hilit=MooIng#p572543 . I won't be bothering taking it to VW ...

Re: Polo AW Photo Gallery
Counting down the days until 1st September... I went black, always wanted a black car, I'll regret it in a week, the white looks amazing but definitely becoming very common within the GTI spec. Spec wise, I went with reversing camera, climate control and missed out the alloys, again might re...

Re: Honest opinion - anyone else regret buying their GTI?
I've had my Polo GTI for 5 months now only managed 3000miles in it but i've loved every mile. It is only my second car and i've come from a mk5 polo match. Obviously the GTI isn't the best car on the planet and would be much better if it had a manual but for the price I have no regrets. I have drive...

Re: Individual driving modes
I have my gearbox in sport, suspension in normal, steering in sport and engine sound in eco. The engine sound will purely be the sound aktuator which is annoying and pointless and suspension in normal most the time as I live in a pothole ridden area. Apart from that the gearbox is in sport except I ...
