Re: Retained value

I will finally take delivery of my Polo GTI+ on monday following a 9 month wait, to benefit from VWs deposit contribution I have agreed to a 48 month PCP that will add a figure of £5267 to the purchase price! It’s a while since i have financed a car this way, I remember that companies used to give ...

Re: BRAND NEW Car Clean

I guarantee that the dealer applied protection package is a polymer resin based sealant, and something you can wash over, remove etc instantly If would wash your car as normal and then make sure you cleanse the paint with an abrasive product (paint cleanser, finishing polish, etc). This will remove ...

Oh can you? I had a quick poke around in the settings and couldn't see anything, can you remember where it was?

Re: Keyless entry on GTI+

Thanks for the help guys, I've checked and it does work like that but man does it feel like a backwards step in technology Mainly from a locking perspective, having to interact with something on the car before you walk away reminds me a bit of key operated central locking Think i might just stick to...

Re: Keyless entry on GTI+

It should just unlock as you put your hand around the door handle and should lock if you press the indentation on the outside of the door handle, I don’t think there is an Initial activation process, but maybe someone can correct me if I’m wrong ... also try it with one key at a time keep one insid...

Keyless entry on GTI+

Does anyone know how to get the keyless entry working on a GTI+? I've checked the brochure and its standard fit so i know i have it, but I cannot for the life of me get it to work. Automatically locking or unlocking doesn't work at all, pressing the button on the fob seems to be the only way. Once i...

Re: Delivery/Tracking

Got my email from VW this morning at 8.05 saying status updated to ‘car is in final stages of its journey to the UK’ The website tracker has changed to ‘near the UK’ I’ve not had a text but assume this is my 5C? I’ve emailed the dealer to confirm. She’s pretty good so usually comes back a few hours...

Re: Delivery/Tracking

After over 8 months waiting I finally picked my polo up this morning, couldn't be happier! Instructed the dealer to not touch the car and leave the wrap on which they duly obliged https://i.imgur.com/QHiIVRt.jpg Got back and stripped the wheels off and gave them a clean ready for Pilot sport 4 tyre ...

Re: Delivery/Tracking

I remember a forum member on here waited 12+ months for his GTI. The wait times going back a year were absolutely ridiculous. Waited 9 months myself and that was torture, don't think I'd do it again. Looks like things have improved since then which is good for people ordering now. :) Mine has only ...

Re: Delivery/Tracking

Stage 7 this morning so my car is definitely at the dealers, not long now!

FYI for those with theirs at Grimsby, it's taken 5 calendar days for mine to go from stage 6 to stage 7, but then I am picking up from Lincoln so not the longest journey

Re: Delivery/Tracking

Update for anybody who's car is at a UK port. I contacted my dealership and requested an update on my cars progress. He confirmed that today the car is at a UK Port. The approximate time from the UK port and collection day is (AT THE VERY MOST) 10th September all things considered. Nonetheless, if ...
