Re: Engine Mount Torque Specs
Ehh, on the TDI the bolt closer to the firewall that goes thru thru chassis leg is nasty to get out. The bolt is a bit too long to get out without manipulating the transmission position. It hits into the transmission bracket. If it was only 2mm shorter. deff. dog bone out to lower the transmission t...

Re: Polo 6R ABS long coding help
Aah that’s a shame I noticed @iichel knows his stuff but he must be the one then I’ve tried that calculator and it errors. It also doesn’t have the option for the cgpa engine on a rhd, but i tried different combinations 40,41,42,43,44,45 and had no luck My mechanic has the genuine vcds but he’s not...

Re: Engine Mount Torque Specs
Hey did anyone swap the left engine mount with a scissor jack or a bottle jack? Is it doable? You mean the engine mount on gearbox or the opposite side ? I did the gearbox's one, and with a hydraulic jack it was perferct (under the gearbox). However for the other one, I'm not sure if the oil pan wi...

Re: Horn works only with key in ignition? 2014 1.2TSI
In my Polo6R horn works only with ignition ON. In my T-roc, horn works at any ignition. I prefer the way it horns in my 6R.. may be it's just me. Just to give an example, I have lost count of occasions when I accidentally pressed the horn in my T-roc. Be it while cleaning the steering wheel, or whi...

Re: Windscreen wipers slow, then stopped working.
Hi, I’ve had this issue on my 9n3 and as said the spindles seize up ,i lubricated them but this was only a temporary fix.I ended up replacing the linkage with a new genuine part . Last two images show the part that you need to push out from the housing. if someone wants to attempt a repair. On a 6r...

Re: Aftermarket shift knob...
Why complicate the things? clean the rod, put few turns of cloth tape to prevent the zip tie from sliding. remove the plastic clip in for the gaiter that goes into the oem knob. If you want it fancy you could make a groove in the rod for the zip tie using a dremel. Or cut threads into the new shift ...

Re: Windscreen wipers slow, then stopped working.
Hi, I had a similar issue on my 6r. Wiper were to slow. You greasing the linkage joints wont help. You need to disassemble it, and where the spindle ( part that has thread to attach the wiper arm) you will have to remove the c-clips, and push it out. There is a bronze bushing and it gets rusted. I'd...
