Re: Oil Filter removal
Thanks amer6r, I’ve got the cap off in one piece but cannot extract the filter as there is a metal pipe running above which I need to see if I can remove, two cross head fixings on a manifold type on the right, not very accessible at all and a clamp fitting on the left. Looking through the Elsa, th...

Re: Oil Filter removal
So I acquired a tool which is basically like a spanner end with a square drive for the ratchet. Still cannot get the ratchet bar straight down or anywhere near straight so put on the swivel joint and managed to get some purchase on it. Didn't budge but did crack around the base of the hex on the to...

Re: Replacing front window seals
Hi, A few months ago, the battery drained on my Polo 6R and was dead, I also found out that the key did not work in the door as it had been replaced by a previous owner. Because of this, i tried to open the door with one of those inflation bags to reach in with a wire and open the handle (i know it...

Re: How major are these issues a garage noted?
If you are tight with money and cant afford some repairs, at least wrap the cv joint boot in plastic bag, and duck tape it. It will help, to save your cv joint from getting crap in it and destroying it. The booth it self, some grease, clips and can of brake cleaner is not expensive. go with what 222...

Re: Folding back bench down
You fold up the bottom part first up ( just put your hands around it slide it towards the drivers and passenger seat direction( to clear the backrest - because it goes under it), than you can fold it up.
Proceed by folding down the backrest.

You don’t need to replace the whole mirror assembly, just the part with the integral led strip. Plenty on sale on eBay for around £15, e.g. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/364652413391?gad_source=1&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338723872&toolid=20006&customid=F-...
