Can be done to any car but the gains are usually greatest on something that's had other mods and/or forced induction

Get stronger bearings put in that are rated for higher loads?

At least do the ones that fail most commonly any way.

Having said that, uprating those might just mean the next thing along will fail. s**t design tbh

Mate don't bother spraying them, even with heat resistant paint.

Make sure you get that bumper to match.

You could do what Dan Krebs did, buy a second one, butcher it and use the plastic from it to make the extra you need.

40mm isn't slammed, and they will be ok, for a while.

They will start to leak eventually though. You can get kits (inc shocks) really cheap from PhillJ so you might as well do it properly
