Re: Polo GTi or ......
if you are looking to save money on day-to-day running costs then go with the GTE, but there is the battery issue like you mentioned. I have a friend who worked for a battery manufacturing company and he said they should really be replaced every 4 years which isnt cheap.
This just isn't ...

Re: Honest opinion - anyone else regret buying their GTI?
So you got the Standard GTI? No wonder you're disappointed. The GTI+ is rammed with spec. It doesn't have heated seats (is there a need without leather?), satnav isn't usually standard spec in this segment.
Soundaltors are in many VAG cars, certainly all the hot hatches, including the S3/Golf R ...

Re: Honest opinion - anyone else regret buying their GTI?
What things were missing that you thought would be standard, and which parts are annoying?
Unless someone bought a GTI rather than a GTI+, I can't imagine what people would expect to have as standard that wasn't there on this class of car. It's pretty much got everything the Golf GTI has ...

Re: Honest opinion - anyone else regret buying their GTI?
This was the first brand new car I ever bought, all of my 10 previous cars have been 'nearly new'.
I regret getting mine but that was going to be undertandable coming from an S3 and an RS3 previous cars, although the mpg improvement is good!
I had just moved house and splurged all the savings on ...

Re: Auto Lights
Anyone know if there is a way to increase the sensitivity on the auto headlights?
It seems to take until its virtually dark for them to kick in
In the settings menu on your touchscreen there is an option to have them set to early, normal or late. I’ve no idea if early means they come on for ...

Don't most independant VAG specialists have access to the VAG online database for updating serving etc.?

Re: Soundaktor deactivation guide
I remember saying to the salesman when I took it out for a test drive that the noise was quite impressive and he agreed...feel so betrayed now finding out its fake. Almost like misselling a product :?:
For those who have disconnected it - is the sound now dissapointing?

Re: PCP Finance - what can I do to my Polo?
I've had some insurance companies that would add nominal fees on for stupid things like stickets in the windows, then ther have been others that arent fussed as long as it wasnt making the car unsafe or messing with the performance.
Like has been said its worht the call to find out.

Re: Finance Documents
I got mine in the morning on the day of collection.
I had a quick read over them and signed them in the showroom when I picked the car up in the afternoon.
I was out of the showeroom within an hour of arriving with the car.

Re: External Exhaust Sound
Is there no resonator-delete mod for these yet?
I had it done on my old S3 and RS3 and the sound difference was very impressive.
It will be something I will be looking into when we are allowed out to play again

Re: Clive's new Polo
First modification, new number plates stuck on with double-sided tape (I hate them attached with screws), and the front one cut down by approximately 15mm to fit properly in the bumper recess. :P

Where did you source the double sided tape from?
