I'm in the same boat but mine starts after 3 attempts. Anybody found a solution to this?

Hi
New to polos, love this little car.
i have a 1.4TDi Bluemotion 2008 face lift model, 192000 miles and still driving lovely.
the problem i have is i turn ignition on glow plug light comes on as normal then goes out turn car over it revs to 1000rpm then cuts out, does this twice then starts fine.
