I live in Ipswich over the East side, my 2020 GTI+ is Limestone grey. Give me a wave if you see me.

Re: Just bought a Polo GTI+ and have questions

There is a fix for the mooing noise, mine had it and they should fix it for free- there is a whole thread on it if you search. PS4s or Eagle F1s of equivalent will make a big difference to torque steer, Turanzas are a hard tyre good for durability tho.

Re: Car accident repair cost (pic included)

There is a "reputable" body shop near me that replaces unnessesary parts and then sell them on Ebay, my mates BMW left headlight had a minor scratch which he was pretty sure was already there, they replaced it at around £800 insurance job along with bumper etc., the following week he notic...

Max torque on the dq250 is 400nm so looks like you blew it with the torque heavy map.

Re: How can we check our PPF levels?

Hi. My 2020 GTI has done 14k and i've not had a regen yet and I do plenty of city driving, my advice would be don't worry about it and just enjoy your car. If and when it happens it will happen...

Re: Normal mode a big 'sluggish'

Pretty sure there is a power limiter up to 1000km. I had a 150bhp 1.5evo r line before this and the Polo is far quicker-as it should be with 50 more BHP. you just need to run it in more.

Re: Exhaust cam variator. Loose bolts. TPI?

Where is this exhaust cam variator? What are the symptoms? I recently had some TPI work done to supposedly cure a knocking noise around the rear suspension which hasnt worked and is getting louder.

Re: Intake kit options

The Ramair air one looks interesting, I was looking at the MST, it has great reviews for its Golf 7 application, think its about £240. Racingline one is nice but a bit pricey at around $600.

Rear offside knock noise returned with a vengeance!!

Some of you may remember that soon after I took delivery of my Polo in July 2020 I discovered that it was developing a knock type noise from the offside rear around the petrol cap area possibly, anyhow after 3 weeks of having the car including some time at their body shop they could not find the iss...

Re: Beats audio sounds system settings

As SRGTD said, it will be down to the type of music and personnal hearing ability. Rock music for example the bass will feel less prominent than a dance track. For me though, with wired carplay at basically max listening volume, i have gone with; Bass -8 Mid +1 Treble -1 Fade balance backward two n...

Leyo is loudest i've read, MST has good reviews sounds great and has some the bet rating for airflow. hoping someone on Youtube can do a review. I was gonna get a MST, still considering it.

Re: Actively hunting for '18 MY car - makes sense?

If you don't want a GPF then it certainly makes sense, for a while I was looking for an 18 MY Polo but they all had red dash inserts which my wife with red hair hated so I ended up with a 20MY plate. To be honest I still think the exhaust sounds ok even with the GPF. Mind you i'm 46 and kind of over...
