Kufatec fog lamp loom - instructions
Hi All,
I've bought a kufatec fog lamp loom from a UK Distributor, but they've sent the wrong instructions (instructions for Golf 5/Tiguan/Passat CC) alongside and now aren't being tooo much help. Do any of you have the 6R instructions for the Kufatec fog lamp loom? The one with fog lamps only, no ...

OEM Fog lamp retrofit
Hi all,
Hope you're keeping well. I'm trying to do an OEM Fog lamp retrofit, but I've run into a bit of an issue with the wiring.
I've already successfully swapped the BCM to an 087, and I've swapped the fog lamp switch for a genuine used switch with front fogs on.

Re: Spare wheel fitment in boot
I struggled to fit a 15" with a 185/60 tyre into my spare wheel well, are the wheel wells different across different models?
I have a base spec Polo S, so my car came with 14" Steelies. I've since upgraded to 15" alloys, and when I had a flat tyre I couldn't get the alloy to fit in the spare wheel ...

6R Air Conditioning Retrofit
Hi all,
Wondering if any of you have retrofitted air conditioning to a Polo that didn't come with it originally? I have a base spec Polo 6R S and it's awful in this heat.
Is it as easy as buying used components, a new belt and some VCDS coding?
TIA

Re: Radio upgrade
I did the exact same thing as you, got a basic 6R as a first car and ripped the radio out first thing. RCD310 is a super easy swap, it's a direct plug and play. Only thing you'll need is a security code thing, you can get them on ebay for like a fiver. RCD330 i'm not sure on, think there's a bit ...

RCD330 with Rear USB
Hi everyone,
I just saw a post on reddit that says you can modify an RCD330 to feature a rear usb port.
Any thoughts on how that works? Anyone seen one for sale from a UK Reseller? I'd love to get one for my 6R.
Cheers

Re: Head unit change
That sucks pal, component protection is a pain. I swapped in an RCD310, and came up against the same thing. It's probably after a security code - you can buy these on ebay for like £5. You just have to give the ebay seller some info on your stereo, and they'll get back to you with a security code ...

VW Black Hardware
Hey everyone,
I think my Polo might have been in an accident before I bought it - the lower grille trim and headlamp on the passenger side look much newer, the panel gaps on the front wing aren't great, and it's had a replacement window regulator put in on the passenger side using non-standard ...

Re: VCDS advice
I did manage to fix the radio faults, by playing with the coding. I'm waiting on a genuine VW key to come so I can try and add remote central locking.
I'll have a look for the door settings in 09-Central electrics.
Thanks again!

Hi Amer6R,
I'm struggling to find the option to remove the rear doors or the heated/powered mirrors within the install list. Here's a link to what my install list looks like: https://imgur.com/gallery/odAwYsN . Here's a download link to my most recent VCDS scan, showing a few weird things: https ...

Re: VCDS advice
Hi All,
I got it working! It seems to be happy. I've completed my BCM swap, from an 085 to an 087, but now I've got some fault codes that I'm struggling to get rid of. For the most part, it seems to be that the BCM thinks I have some features that I don't actually have, such as rear doors and ...

Hi Veteran,
I appreciate your advice. I'm going to carefully consider purchasing one of the cables, along with the associated software. Thank you!

Re: VCDS advice
VCDS doesn't seem to want to play ball with the 3rd party cable. It came with a CD that included a .exe file that should make VCDS happy, but it's getting flagged by alllll my anti-virus/anti-malware as a virus. I don't want to install it on my company laptop in case it is a virus, so I'm going to ...
