Re: Polo GTi Engine modifications

I have done a Milltek OPF back non-res exhaust and it has improved the sound if the car, it isn't drastic but it definitely sounds much better. I think my next performance mod will be a Milltek high flow cat and opf delete as well as a stage 1 ecu tune. I know that a tune alone can take the car to a...

Re: Polo AW Facelift Spy shots

I have seen a few articles online. This sideshot is my favourite. The driver appears to not be a fan of the camera men

Re: Winter Checkup Dealer Experience

If this was me, just regarding the exhaust issue, I would book it in at a separate VW dealer and have them check the exhaust over. If they report it has been tampered with etc. Take that info back to the original dealer and tell them to replace/fix the exhaust for free or you will take further actio...

Have you used sites such as Carwow to get a discount on the car, sometimes it can work out much cheaper with up to around 18% discount on the list price via the finance option and if you wish to buy the car outright you can do so within 14 days of collection. I believe there is a thread on here some...

Re: Stop start and braking

I have no problem with the concept but what I find utterly inexplicable is that it operates with a stone cold engine once you have travelled 0.5kms, I would think that the extra fuel consumed in this cold state actually increases pollution. I don't arm mine until the coolant gauge is ~ 70C. The cat...

Re: High Flow Cat

So is the £50 res-delete I did on mine. Best bang for your buck. Doing the cat alone will do nothing, so long as the GPF is further down the exhaust flow. If you get a high flow cat then I should hope you'd do a gpf delete or you'll inevitably destroy the gpf eventually. And a res delete is good ba...

They look great! I have the same in black and 17's. I think they look similar to the Golf R Pretoria alloys and suit the car very well.

Re: High Flow Cat

Hello, I'm yet to modify my Gti, but have been looking at exhaust systems, which milltek exhaust did you chose? And how loud is it? I'm after one that has a subtle rumble to it and the odd pop. Hi, I got the Polo GTI 2.0 GPF/OPF back Milltek Exhaust (SSXVW501). Had it on the car for a about 2 month...

Re: Long Term Ownership.

I have a 2020 GTI+ from new. Had no issues really apart from a scratch missed in the pdi but vw repaired it for free. I also suffer from mooing brakes and a slight rattle but I live with it and it isn't a problem really.

Re: Anyone had forced GPF regens yet?

I have yet to experience what you fellows are all talking about which made me wonder if this vehicle of mine has a GPF or not, its a 2019 (May) model. Today I had the opportunity to look under the car since it was in to rotate tyres. Please take a look at these images and let me know if the GPF is ...

Re: What did you and your Polo do today?

Installed a armrest storage divider, quite happy with it and the way it fits has plenty of room underneath to hide stuff  23018396-A8B9-48BD-94DB-06E3E91D7181.jpeg Also wrapped the tsi and vw letters on my engine cover with some old carbon wrap I had. I was thinking of getting one of these st...

Re: What did you and your Polo do today?

It sounds really good.. the problem is that it is not legal without the middle resonator :( Well, it’s so quiet even without the resonator - no one will ever notice. I have a resonator delete on my GTI, sounds just like the Milltek, but cost £50 to do. It brings out a lot more character of the car,...

I believe the BlueGT is the previous gen Polo so dimensions are most likely different.

Re: Dashcam cable routing

Hi there - indirect question; where can I get a fuse box layout for the mk10? I've searched high and low, and can't find one. In fact this thread is the only Google hit I got with photos that match mine. Background, my wife's 2018 SE Tsi wiper washer pump isn't working, and I want to check the fuse...
