I ordered the Planger PowerPad and used it today. Great stuff!
No scratches underneath my car. The pad looks like new after I changed all four wheels.
It was a lot quicker and easier to use than the VW supplied jack.
Thank you for all the tips!

Re: Jack Pads
Thanks for all the very useful replies.
I will look into a "puck", probably start looking at the Planger that veteran mentioned.
I changed the tyres on my Lupo twice a year for eleven years with the VW supplied jack.

Is there something missing from my spare wheel thing?
I have this spare wheel accessory thing in my trunk instead of a spare wheel.
What is the empty groove at the bottom for?
Is there something missing from there or is it for some optional part that someone decided that I don't need?

Re: Jack Pads
Thank you for the replies!
The ECS jack pads feel a little over kill and pricey.
Maybe the kind of jack pad that looks like a hockey puck with a groove is the way to go for me.
Isn't the groove on the one from Halfords not wide enough? It says it's 10 mm wide.
I measured the strengthened seam on ...

Re: Jack Pads
I went out and measured the sill on my car.
The slot is not wide enough on the alloy pads I linked to.

Jack Pads
I'm about to buy a trolley jack so that I can change my tyres.
For this I will need a jack pad since the car needs to be lifted on the seams.
I have no experience in jack pads.
I have read a lot of horror stories about rubber jack pads breaking in half.
What jack pad should I get so that I don't ...

There is this one: https://www.pioneer-car.eu/eur/products ... o1-pl2-val
It's quite expensive so I haven't decided yet if I think it's worth the money.

Re: 6R 1.6 TDI Winter problems
I had the exact same symptoms on my previous VW Lupo. Replacing the coolant temperature sensor solved the issues.
It is quite common that the coolant sensor fails on Lupos (I had to replace it twice during the 11 years I had the car).
I have no idea if the sensors have gotten better since.

16,5 cm both rear and front.
You can see it on the link at the top, or if you google for the Focal speakers that VikingGTI has.

VikingGTI, that looks impressive. Was it easy to fit the speakers? Did you have to cut/modify the A-pillar for the tweeters?

Re: Are the speakers the same in a 6R and a 6C?
Thank you for the reply!
Any suggestions on which speakers to go for?
Does it make a noticeable difference changing the rear speakers?
Since the inside of the car is so small, I suspect that replacing the front speakers will make the most difference.

I have plans of replacing the original speakers in my 6C from 2017.
I have found a few model specific speakers for Polo 6R. Will they fit on a 6C the same way as in a 6R?

Re: Navgate EVO Relacement Radio for 6C
I'm thinking of getting one of these (AVIC-EVO1-PL2-VAL).
Is it worth the money?
Does the sound get better using the standard speakers?
Is it easy to install?
Does it use the existing bluetooth microphone or do you have to use an external one?
Where do you place the GPS antenna?

Head unit software versions and FLAC support
I have a Device part number: 6C0035869F, Hardware: 050, Software: 7082.
I was hoping to be able to play FLAC files since my music collection is all FLAC.
But it seems that I have to convert my music to MP3s in order to play them in my car from SD.
