Managed to get them working!

Bought this harness set:

Also Needed:
~1M of wire (I used speaker wire I had laying around)
2 crimp butt connectors/crimp clamp
Soldering iron/solder

Retrofitting OEM footwell lights

Hi all,

I previously had a 6R with OEM footwell lights and my new 6C GTI does not have them and I’d like to add them in. If I purchase the LEDs and cables online is it directly plug and play? Or do they need to be wired into BCM and coded. Would be first time doing this but happy to give it a go ...

Looks like it’s 6R0963624 or 6R0963624A.

I don’t know what the difference is - if indeed there is actually a difference - but at the link below (no. 18 on the diagram) it shows a date of up to 04/03/2012 for 6R0963624 and from 05/03/2012 for 6R0963624A.
