Re: travel assist currently unavailable
And on the issues go. After the failed attempt by the garage to sort my creaking steering. I asked about the replacement steering wheel to sort the Travel Assist "issue". And have been told "hopefully" should turn up late June (flying pigs spotted). I wonder if this will be one o...

Re: Creaking steering
Well.... The garage basically had my car for the best part of 4 days to replace the steering column and when I went to pick the car up this morning, guess what! The noise is still there. Fair enough, it does appear to be a bit quieter than it was (which was pretty loud) but the underlying "crea...

Re: No Internet connection
Is yours still working? I noticed today that the globe icon is greyed out on mine, app hasn't updated in 6 days but I do have a green light for the SOS button Mine works most of the time now. Not seen the emergency call button "drop out" recently (IE. it's always green). But... The Intern...

Re: travel assist currently unavailable
Oh well. As I said before I'm on the wait list for the steering wheel. However, the travel assist warning has completely disappeared since VW had the car, but the car keeps dropping the Bluetooth connection to my phone. Never did before. The dealership told me that no updates were applied to the ca...

Re: travel assist currently unavailable
For those forum members waiting for replacement steering wheels, the post below is from vwroc.com forum - posted earlier this morning by an Australian mk8 Golf R owner; 1 hour ago, mpv said: My brother took his troc R in today for diagnosis due to non stop TA and SOS dinging. He is the one whose mk...

Re: New edition 25 polo gti
+1 for dumping the horrible Haptic controls on the steering wheel (same supposedly happening with the Golf). I wonder if those of us waiting for a replacement steering wheel will get one of these? As I have little trust that a replacement steering wheel with the Haptic rubbish will sort the "Tr...

Re: sos warning ishue!
Question. Is the green light on the SOS switch illuminated when this happens, or not? I had my SOS system (+ internet access) vanish for a couple of weeks a while back. Booked it into the garage for them to have a look and the system came back on its own after a couple of weeks. So just cancelled th...

Re: New Car Troubles
7-speed wet clutch in post facelift Polo Gti though.
Think it's the dry clutch version of the 7-speed box that appears to have had a number of issues in the past.
As already said, thank God it's a warranty job. Just bad luck I suppose.

Re: Is there a way to turn alarm sensitivity down?
My experience with my 2022 Polo GTI, is that heavy rain and or high winds can set the interior motion sensor off. The dealer said to try shutting the side air vents, as in his opinion, this was one of the main causes (IE. wind blowing in via them). Whether this is BS or not, not sure :( Failing that...

Re: Creaking steering
New steering column has now turned up, so booked in to get this replaced at the end of May (the garage always appears to be VERY busy). They are quoting 10 hours work to replace the steering column. Thank God that I'm not paying for this ! They want the car for three days... just in case there are a...

Re: travel assist currently unavailable
Well it did not take them 2 days to diagnose my issue, got a phone call at mid-day .... Needless to say, I've joined the Queue for a New Steering wheel ! On back order, isn't everything these days :( As this issue appears to have been around (most VAG based cars with this steering wheel) for over tw...

Re: Hit massive pothole and no obvious damage
Out of interest. When you say that you've examined the tyre. Have you actually taken the wheel off the car (or used a ramp) and examined the inside of the tyre / wheel? I only ask, as hit a bad pot hole once and it was only when I removed the wheel and inspected the inside, that I spotted a HUGE sid...
