Re: Buying advice

Hi ... I've got a face-lift Polo GTI and would tend to agree with most of the comments from SRGTD. On the whole I would say that I like the car. Though unluckily in my case, it's not been fault free. I had to have a replacement steering wheel (like a number of folks). Though this issue seems to effe...

Re: Keeps on asking me to login to my PROFILE

Got to laugh at times, otherwise you would cry  This morning I noticed that for no reason that I could fathom, I got logged in with a "Guest" profile and it had kindly switched the Climate control off (it's happened a few times before). Select my primary profile and all is well. The D...

Keeps on asking me to login to my PROFILE

The Infotainment system has reverted back to every few days asking me to login to my profile. You appear to be able to bypass this by turning the engine off and then back on again. It started doing this a few months back but then seemed to sort itself.... or so I thought. Anyone else having this iss...

Re: SPAM Email from VWFS

Starting to look like this Email is legit. Because if you try to logon to the VW Financial Services WEB site, it prompts you to accept the changes mentioned in this Email. Hard to know these days what's genuine and what is not! It's daft in a way for genuine companies to send out Emails like this (t...

SPAM Email from VWFS

I'm assuming the Email that I got this morning supposedly from VW Financial Services, is SPAM?

Titled:
Be prepared to use your FS.ID also in the future etc. etc.

Re: Fuel consumption

Does the engine stay running while coasting??, if so wonder how much saving is achieved vs the normal where the fuel injection ceases from > than ~ 1600rpm down to ~ 1000rpm, (with accelerator released) Engine just drops back to "tick over" when it coasts. Probably doesn't make a HUGE dif...

Re: MK11 Polo R-Line buzzing noise

My car is not an R-Line... but that noise doesn't sound right to me. My GTI certainly doesn't do it. My car is remarkably irritating noise free to be honest.

Re: Fuel consumption

Facelift GTI coasts in normal mode as well as eco. Really? That's a terrible idea! I've tried the Eco mode in my pre-facelift GTI and it's very unnerving. It feels like you don't have full control of the car while it's coasting, when all my driving life you lift off the accelerator you start to slo...

Indeed.

I agree with this suggestion as well.

Nora

Thanks for the update.

At least (if you take their word of course :) ) they appear aware of the issue.

TBC as they say

OTA update for - Data plan

I keep on getting the following Over The Air update. It's been going on for a couple of months now. Initially it would download quickly enough and then not install (regardless of how long you waited). Then eventually it seemed to install OK (gave me the relevant "installed OK" message). So...

Re: Advice after hitting pothole that was not visible.

Bad luck mate. If I was you, I would definitely get the effected wheel/s off and have a closer look. Especially the inside side wall of the tyre/s. Only anecdotal. But I did similar once with one of my Scoobies way back when and on taking the effected tyre off, there was the BIGGEST bulge on the ins...
