I couldn't find a haynes manual on there website, thought that was a bit strange

Hi just wondering what equipment i need to change the front pads and discs on a 57 plate 1.4 se polo? spanner sizes etc. Also what type of discs and pads do i need? vented/ non vented etc? how could i tell the difference ?

Thats strange don't you think? Surely you would think it would need doing at some point?

Do you know when you should change HT Leads? It says nothing in the book about them?

Hi, Just wondering when to change my HT Leads. It says in the book to change spark plugs at 40000 miles but does nt mention anything on the leads. Any ideas?

Also, has anyone had the oil changed on the haldex coupling? if so how much did it cost?

hi, I ve got a 57 plate 1.4SE polo and I am looking at getting some xenon headlights. Just confused which ones I need e.g. H1, H7, H4 etc. Please could someone help me

its as if when it gets to 30mph it goes away.

Took it to the garage yesterday, and they said it was a back wheel bearing. But they said not to change it yet because there's no play there yet and it's no ruffness there yet. To me, that sounds as if they are not sure either!

yea i ve checked the tyre pressure, and there cheap tyres to be honest.

I have nt got rumbling ben, its almost like a whistle of wind.

just to let you know, having the timing belt done tomorrow with Halfords Auto centre. £285 for belt, tensioners, water pump and brake fluid change. I am well happy with the price, and they said the timing belt is covered for 4 years once fitted as long as they check on the belt every year!!!!! BARGA...

just wondering if a 57 plate, 1.4 se polo is common to have quite load road noise in the car, specially at around 30mph?

Any body else suffering the same?

I was going to take it to a garage to do the work, £350 to do belt, tensioners, water pump and brake fluid change that i need doing.

How many miles are people getting out of a full tank on the same model car as mine anyway?

do you find road noise is a bit loud at 30mph? anything under or over that is fine

how much did it cost you to have it done? my quotes are ranging from £330-£400 for timing belt, tensioners and water pump. Does that sound about right?
