Though the latest version of Android Auto works if you hold down the button, rather than just press, on the steering wheel which is a nice freebie

On the GTi (and probably any car with Matrix lights) there is no option in the infotainment system.

I asked the dealer about this as with the Matrix lights apparently they don't need to be swapped over as they are intelligent main beams... apparently.

Thanks, the lights just do the up/down on startup and not the side to side. All the info on the VW website related to the xeons only so I assume it's a different style of operation.

As for the fog lights the rotary switch on has the one click pull out for the rears and not the two position the R ...

The description on the web site is 'Matrix LED headlights with automatic headlight control, dynamic cornering lighting'

For the life of me I can't work out what dynamic cornering lighting actually does or if it's just not working.

On my previous R-Line it had the static cornering lights which ...

My GTI arrived at the start of the week with no cover.
