Got the car back today all fixed, he called me once he had it all apart to say he couldn’t see anything wrong. We decided to go ahead and change the clutch slave cylinder and he said may as well change the clutch regulating valve. All done £725 all in

he did say its probably worthwhile changing the clutch whilst its all out but that's entirely up to me. so we are going to get that done at the same time

So had a friend come round today (ex vw guy) he seems to think it’s the slave cylinder which is housed within the bell housing so it’s all got to come apart, not something that will be done on the drive but he hopes to get it done next week if the parts are readily available. She has a service plan and the car is due a service so was wondering if to just send it to the dealer or am independent vw specialist.
