Re: wing mirror indicator still faulty after replacement

UPDATE:

i had learnt that the cabling for the indicator runs via the motor unit behind the door panel, i decided to take a look there with a multimeter. i was able to get good amp and resistance readings on the motor.
i put the motor back and reattached the cables.
i tried the right side indicator ...

Re: wing mirror indicator still faulty after replacement

silly question.
Ive managed to find the relevant wires in the diagram for the drivers side indicator.
How would I multimeter test? would i connect one probe to the 28 pin connector side, and the other to the connection on wing mirror side?

Re: wing mirror indicator still faulty after replacement

Could you give more information on the exact fault with the indicator unit as your description is rather vague ? What does or doesn’t it do

when i indicate on the right (faulty side), i get the abnormally fast ticking noise that you usually get when an indicator is faulty. The light blinks ...

wing mirror indicator still faulty after replacement

i had changed my wing mirror indicator after it had become faulty.
the replacement worked for a day or two then went back to being faulty like the first one.
is there anywhere else i can investigate as it sounds like the issue is not the indicator itself?

TMC available via DAB

Hi all

Trafficmaster has ceased TMC broadcasts via Classical FM. However, apparently this is still being broadcast on DAB. Is anyone able to confirm this?
Would the infotainment system need to be updated / replaced?

Bottom ball joint removal

Hi all

Does anybody know how to remove the ball joint on the swing arm?
I have tried using a ball joint removal tool, but that has been useless.
There is a torx socket on the top of the joint which i have also tried but that just starts to give way and round off.
is there anything else i can try?

Found it where you said it was.
