Mine done this.

Was the dashboard dying a death. VW fitted a new dash for me, and reporgrammed my keys.

Get it sorted quick, as mine imobilised the car for me when it threw a hissy fit!

Hi guys, have another odd one for you...

On a few occasions recently, whilst driving along, the dash displays on my dads car are being rather random :?

By this I mean the rev counter and speedo drop to 0, the trip computer resets, the lights all go off etc. This lasts for just a few seconds, like ...

The new droplinks that I mentioned in a previous post of mine... dads car lasted 5 weeks with no knocking, although its only 1 or 2 random knocks heard now, nowhere near as often as before!

My dad is blaming the weather as well... the car seems less creaky in general during the summer months ...

My dad had his car up on the ramps at a new VAG specialist company yesterday, he was actually allowed under the car himself to see exactly what was going on with regard to this knocking noise.

I'm glad my dad isn't alone with this problem but its very frustrating how all of you have had different things replaced but to no avail :(

Dads knocking is worse some days but then he can go a day without hearing ...

Well this weekend my dads finally got his car fixed at VW

Diagnosis was the plastic shields underneath the anti-roll bar brackets had cracked/broken, allowing the roll-bar to move around especially when cornering, hitting the car body, hense the knocking sounds.

New upgraded anti-roll bars have ...

There isn't one for the lupo yet and they came out on a T-reg ('99 ?)

I'll pass this info on and I expect my dad will make a trip to VW, see what they suggest seeing as warranty is outta the question.
