Engine light & EPC light. Fault code: P00AF
Fitted new battery and have had EPC and engine light lit since new one has been in. Have noticed a loss in power/reduction in rev limiter. E.g. will max out at just under 5k RPM. Or foot will be flat to the floor in 5th gear going 76MPH. Car wont accelerate and will suggest shifting to 4th. Garage t...

Brake pad contact
https://uk-polos.net/viewtopic.php?t=78668 Check out the above post. Can someone who knows about brake pads shed some light. Anyone seen them looking L shaped with a small face that makes contact with the disc and a larger face which is off the disc. Note: despite the rust and scoring, these discs ...

Re: Brake pad contact
Sorry to hear about your seizure hopefully you're still on the up :) The front pads look a bit funky but I think that's more just from the camera angle. They seem to be making full contact but with the time they were sat a fair amount of rust would build up as you mentioned meaning you won't have 1...

Re: Brake pad contact
I'm sorry to hear about your health issues, but this car is just a victim of circumstances, and nothing more. I'd suggest if you want to return it to proper running order, you hand it in to a garage for a bit of all round re-commissioning after its enforced lack of use. It's booked in for it's MOT ...

Brake pad contact
Hello, I had all new discs and pads front & rear on 18/05/22 @ 25,373miles. Car now has 25,526miles on the clock. So the car has done less than 200miles since the new ones were fitted. Polo 6R 2017 plate. I had a look at the new discs & pads on the day they were done & I noticed that the...

Re: Battery replacement help
Just a general tip from me, I think that you would have had more exposure to your thread if you had posted it in the main area for this version of Polo, lots of people who use this forum - well at least me, do not normally wander off into other areas other than the one for the car that I have, bump...

Re: VIN Number not recognised
Is there any UK/EU sites I can check my VIN on that have databases newer than March 2017. Will have to check with the dealership too but don't quite know how to pose the question to them. "Are you able to recognise my VIN?" Seems a bit random. They're going to want context. And there isn't...

VIN Number not recognised
Hello, not sure where to post this so have picked the Chassis board since it's a Chassis number/VIN query. For some reason my VIN number doesn't seem to be recognised anywhere. https://parts.vw.com/?utm_source=vwserviceandparts.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_term=service&utm_content=shopnow...

Re: Battery replacement help
How long did you have the battery out for? Mines been out for months. Maybe the throttle body settings are not impacted on the 6R. Or maybe you got lucky. There is many stories I have found on forums where their throttle is malfunctioning after battery replacement. Can't really find a pattern it jus...

Battery replacement help
Hello, I'm new to this forum and a complete car novice so go easy on me. Sorry in advance for my ramblings  :D I've had a bit of a nightmare with my car. I had an epileptic seizure in May 2022 so had to hand my licence in. My car also didn't get used much during the lockdowns. So it got a long ...
