My car (2023 Polo Gti on 17" wheels) came from VW with PS5's on it. If you click through the configurator and select wheel and tyre info it shows the PS5 as the only option (I know, they can change this as often as they like and the VW site is full of errors).

Took delivery of my 73 plate polo GTI (standard, not 25th edition) this week, thought it might be of interest that it came fitted with the physical buttons steering wheel not the haptic version. Build week around mid August.

It is always worth noting that the UK legal minimum is quite a bit below when both VW and the tyre manufacturers suggest you change them.

You never know when you might need to rely on the wet braking performance, which is what drops off the most with lower tread.

oh yes ... it's got the fake sound rattle at about 4K in sport mode too. I am tempted to unplug it, some people say it has disappeared with time?

Any ideas what causes the rattle? it sounds like something close to the speaker resonating? or is it the gadget under the bonnet?

The boot latch was poorly adjusted from factory and I broke the clips on the trim taking it out (carefully, having looked up where they were in the manual) with proper trim tools, It looks like the mounting ...

Has anyone done this recently? do you need to remove the button or not?

In the factory manual (link at top of forum) it says about heating the cover up using a special tool (I was just going to warm it up with a hair drier to help things flex without breaking). Ambiguously it doesn't mention ...

If you are feeling adventurous and want to save some money Camskill tyres are doing the Michelin cashback offer at the moment on 2 or 4 tyres. You have to get them fitted yourself though which can involve a bit of legwork to find somewhere that will fit tyres that they haven't sold you.

The 25th anniversary edition is disappointing, especially considering some of the special edition golfs in the past.

Don't like the seats or the wheels (in my personal opinion) ... It's a hell of a premium for some badges.

Not even got the car yet and I've got one to swap over when it arrives.

I got it in the UK though as the shipping etc. Was a bit much on that other source.

Ah ... a bit an unknown then. As I said I'm not so much bothered about the long wait. It's more the chance it's going to turn up unexpectedly either early or late.

Does anyone make a good quality model of this generation of Polo GTI? Preferably the facelift and in 1/18 scale.

I did some Googling but there wasn't anything that completely fit the bill.
