Re: Oil burning 1l/200 miles
Thank you. All guides and valves were replaced (both intake and exhaust) when the head was rebuilt, but im definitely going to change the pcv system to check if that fixes it as well.

Oil burning 1l/200 miles
Hi,
My 1.2 MPI 59hp Polo 6r burns 1l oil every 200 miles. i have checked the plugs and plug 1 and 2 were really tight, i think stuck down by carbon and full of oil whereas plug 3 was clean and not too tight. The intake tube is clean and has no oil on it but i can hear a slight hiss from what i ...

Re: POLO 6R. HEATED SEATS. OEM.
Hi guys, sorry to keep bringing this back up but I did a bit more research and apparently my car seats do not have a heated seat relay (according to wiring diagrams E94/E95 heated driver/passenger regulator). How can I go about getting these or is it a case of buying seats with them already in as ...

Re: POLO 6R. HEATED SEATS. OEM.
Thanks. However the cables to this socket do not exist under my seat. I’ve read about a J774 control unit on the wiring diagrams but I don’t think I have this. I seem to be missing a connector from the 2 pin connector coming from the main loom in the dashboard (that connects to the 16 pin relay and ...

Re: Turning traction control off makes SAFE on dash, disables key
Turns out it was nothing to do with traction control. The transponder in the key had fallen off and was rattling around. I superglued it back in and it works perfect now.

Hi, My Polo doesn’t have this 4 pin connector underneath which came with my wiring kit. What do I need to buy to fix this? Thanks

Turning traction control off makes SAFE on dash, disables key
Hello,
I've had my Polo 6r for about a year now, and when I first got it, i was playing around with all the stuff in it and clicked the traction control button. Afterwareds, the key id been using stopped working and SAFE popped up on the dash and it wouldn't start. I thought this was just a ...

Re: Getting into car with dead battery and broken keys.
Good result, and thanks for getting back to us in case it helps someone.
So, did you then repair the "key lock" so that you will, if this happens again for any other reason, be able to unlock this car, also do you have 2 working keys for this car, if not sort that out as well.
Edit:- remember ...

Re: Getting into car with dead battery and broken keys.
Hi, for some reason i did not get email updates for this but I fixed it ages ago!
What I did was go under the undertray and connect a wire to the starter motor positive terminal and the negative to the screw in hook thing on the front. (i think its for towing).
Then, i connected these to a lab ...

Replacing front window seals
Hi,
A few months ago, the battery drained on my Polo 6R and was dead, I also found out that the key did not work in the door as it had been replaced by a previous owner. Because of this, i tried to open the door with one of those inflation bags to reach in with a wire and open the handle (i know ...

Getting into car with dead battery and broken keys.
Hello,
My dad accidently left the lights on on my Polo 6R last night and the battery is now drained. Unfortunately, the key in the hole does not work and the lock barrel just spins around and doesn't open. We've tried putting a bit of wire and string round the passenger door handle and pulling but ...

Left speakers crackling
Hello,
My "new" 2010 Polo 6R has suddenly started having crackling bass speakers on the left side. I had thought at first it was just the front one but when I used the radio controls to just play through the back left speaker, I found it was both. I had ordered a front left speaker but given that ...
