You need to disconnect your dashcam fully and see what effect that has first.

Basically, the standard phone connection doesn’t work if you have CarPlay activated.
You have to use the phone app within CarPlay
This is standard.

I mean the "hold the power button down until it resets itself" approach. I think that worked on mine - it seems to universal across VWs / Skodas etc.

Have you done a reset of the infotainment system ?

I had similar problems. I now only use a wired connection (VW lead), and plug the phone in, then turn the ignition on and start the car.
That works pretty much every time.

Yes, getting exactly the same.
It seems to work better if I plug the phone in before I do anything else, like turn the ignition on.

Hi, new member of the forum here.
I got my GTi last week. It arrived within 2 weeks from pre-registered stock, so I guess they aren’t selling well here in the UK.
I could only have black or white though.
