Re: White Stains Appearing
It does look to be a mould of sorts, can it be rubbed off ? Are your carpets damp/wet including the boot area?
It can't be rubbed off no, so seems to be inside the fabric as opposed to on the surface.
Checked the carpets front and back bone dry...
Had a look in the boot area briefly, but will ...

White Stains Appearing
These are mainly appearing on the rear seats, centre arm rest and rear of the front seats.
What is causing these; salt, mould, moisture?
Thanks

Re: GTI Won’t Go Into 6th Gear (Sometimes)
I notice your mileage is 46K miles. Have you had the DSG serviced? It's due at 40K miles, that may help.
Yeah I made the dealer carry out a DSG service when I purchased it from them as I neglected to check that on my previous car and was given a DSG, Transmission and Front Diff service all in ...

GTI Won’t Go Into 6th Gear (Sometimes)
Hi folks, this has happened a few times now where I’m driving on a dual carriage way or motorway where speed limit is 70 and my polo GTI won’t go into 6th gear just stays in 5th. Manually moving into 6th it drops back down within seconds only way to solve it is to put it in manual.

Re: Front Right Wheel Squeak
Car's back and all good (although now has started mooing/making a whale of a sound when reversing!).
I spoke with the mechanic who worked on my car and one of the senior workers at the garage and we pretty much all agreed that there was something not quite right.
Couple of points/assumptions ...

Re: Front Right Wheel Squeak
Dropped my car off at a garage last night and got a phone call this morning - needs a new wheel hub.
Garage is speculating that the left side of the car has had all new suspension etc (forgot the other items he said but will confirm when I collect) which is either from a crash or just suffered ...

Re: Front Right Wheel Squeak
So having taken the wheel and brake calliper off to check for any debris I noticed the disk was very very close if not touching the other part of the calliper. See attached images. Is this right? This doesn’t feel correct, the spacing is way off imo but I don’t see what could cause it to sit so far ...

Front Right Wheel Squeak
Hi folks,
My '19 plate GTI has started to produce quite a loud squeak from the front right wheel, initially only when turning left at around 30/40mph and quite a sharp-ish corner.
It also produces a very loud and ear piercing squeak when reversing and the wheel is fully locked left or right, and ...

Re: Polo GTI+ Overrun?
Hey,
Congrats on the Polo GTI! If you're missing the pops and burbles you loved in the Cupra, your Polo actually has that feature, but it's just more subtle. By factory default, it includes a mild overrun burble, created by slightly retarding the ignition timing during overrun. You’ll notice it ...

Re: Polo GTI+ Overrun?
Isn't it just faked somehow?
I doubt any modern engine is going to inject unburnt fuel into the exhaust to be burnt later for fun.
You will own nothing and be happy etc...
I don't quite see how it would be faked?

Polo GTI+ Overrun?
Hi folks,
This week I got a 2019 Polo GTI+ to replace my stolen Seat Leon Cupra 290 (MY2019) which I absolutely loved (would recommend if you ever think of selling your Polo) and one thing (among many) that I really liked about the Cupra was the overrun/pops when downshifting in Cupra mode, it wasn ...
