could be an air leak on the boost side? or MAF problem. Injectors do fail but its rare. Leaks and MAF failure are much more common and cheaper to fix.

Cam position sensor is a common problem but I am sure they knew that too and changed this before they got as far as an ecu swap???? Generally poor electrical connections can also cause things like this. I know it sounds unlikely on such a new car but it happens as the fault triggers are so sensitive...

Normally a charge pipe off or split will give you an error code and a check light?
If the turbo failed in any way you would have had lots of smoke, either black or grey?

I hope they get it sorted as quickly as possible and as cheaply as they can.

You need engine code to be totally sure, I think there were a few 80bhp cars on the 9n.

I may ruin your day even more....sorry. If the airbag control unit has now stored crash data then its not as easy as getting the fault code turned off. You may need a new control unit or at least send it to a specialist to get it re-programmed? Hopefully though it was not enough of an impact to trig...

I had a phone call at about 7.30pm from a guy complaining about his mk5 r32 only doing 18-22mpg. I was driving and had just finished a 85 mile trip and told him mine was currently sat at 51mpg average. The 85 miles were covered at speeds between 70 and 90 on motorways. He completed the conversation ...

no, me too.
I had turanza's and they are pretty crap grip. I asked the tyre centre I use to recomend a tyre the last time I needed a pair. They put on GY F1's and to be honest these are as bad for grip but they wear out quicker : (
