I've lost the Little White Globe on the Infotainment Screen

Recently I noticed that the Nav wasn't showing or announcing traffic and then I realised that I've lost the Little White Globe on the Infotainment Screen.

I have spent hours trying to get it connected again and many 'soft' re-starts

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated

Many thanks in ...

Re: Strange Vehicle Setting Notification

I don't think it was because all my updates are OTA but having checked there were no new updates and when there are updates available it says 'Update Available'. So I have no idea what it was all about????

Strange Vehicle Setting Notification

The other day this popped up a few times on the infotainment Screen and I didn't opt for either option available and it disappeared. I'm not sure if I've managed to attach the photo successfully but basically it reads 'Changing your vehicle settings' with the options below to 'Cancel' or 'Apply'. I ...

Re: New edition 25 polo gti

How are people finding the Ed25 now they’ve had them a while? Anyone got one that had the standard facelift gti? Do the leather seats help with comfort?

I personally think the suspension in the Polo GTI - ED25 or non-ED25 - will be the main influencing factor as far as comfort is concerned. I ...

Re: 18" Tyre Pressures

The default seems best. From my experience. I set mine lower at front and would ware like they was under inflated.
Also note petrol garages and other air pumps can give incorrect preasures, as there not mantained.
I used a petrol garage set pressures drove 50miles got a warning on all 4 for low ...

Re: Do These IQ Lights Turn Around Corners?

I have Polo (2023MY) with IQ headlights , They do NOT turn around corners, what look like fog lights in the front bumper (3 LEDs) each side are permanently on with the headlights and not controllable separately ,they provide a wide area of illumination on to verges etc , The way the lights behave ...

DSG and Handbrake

Hi

I have now driven autos of some description (slush box or DSG) for many, many, years now and I think the last one I owned back then with a proper handbrake was an E39 530i and if I recall the handbrake would hold when the car was in ‘drive’…. Not a good practice to do long term I know, but this ...

Do These IQ Lights Turn Around Corners?

Hi

I don’t think I’ve ever been so confused by something so, seemingly, simple.

As the nights draw in, I’m obviously paying more attention to my headlights right now

On my headlights themselves it actually says ‘IQ Light’ on them however:

The Handbook says that they are Advanced main-beam ...

Re: 18" Tyre Pressures

Hi Ian.

I dare say a primary factor behind VW’s seemingly rather high recommended tyre pressures is mpg and emissions - the higher the tyre pressures, the lower the rolling resistance which will translate into better official mpg and emissions figures.

When I had my Polo GTI+, I used to set the ...

18" Tyre Pressures

Hi

I recently bought a set of very nice 18” alloys from SRGTD to replace my 17” Parkers. I must say he was an absolute pleasure to deal with.

Bearing in mind I’ve never really known how automotive engineers calculate the ideal pressure for a given car and wheels etc. Looking inside the door at ...

Re: For anyone with a GTI who wants a good second set of alloys……

As I no longer have my Polo GTI+ I’ve put my RC Design RC32 18” alloys up for sale on the ‘Parts for Sale’ forum board - link to advert;

They’re powder coated so are highly durable and would be a good option for anyone who wants to protect ...

Re: GTi Spash Screen

For some weird reason the whole getting in the car and waiting a while before turning the ignition on has suddenly started working.... mahoosively unimportant I know, but it now works and I'm all the more happier for it :)
