Try without running engine.

I tried it already, including riding the car before as it would magically wake up the ABS.
I also completely uninstalled and re-installed VCDS (including drivers) but that does not change anything.

Otherwise buy the original ...

You are right it's a clone cable but noneless it should work.

The connection with the engine was not possible because it was turned off during auto-scan.
Everything else works (other controllers, output tests, ...).

Few months ago, I had issues with the ABS (the 3 related lights show up on the dashboard).

No matter what I tried in VCDS, I couldn't connect to the ABS controller (VCDS says "No Response from Controller" after 3 ...
