Re: my mapped 100 tdi couldnt beat a mini cooper?
Awesome, sounds exactly like what you're supposed to do with an EP3, all the right upgrades from all the right names. Yeah I'm on the CTRO forum and TRO. I'm also on mcr-vtec too but thats just a Manchester thing. I'm not on them all the time though lol. You should race your mate's Cooper from a ...

Re: my mapped 100 tdi couldnt beat a mini cooper?
Cheers guys, yeah I do prefer the EP3 to FN2 and thats not just because I've got one. I wanted an Mk5 Golf GTi but they were still fetching a couple of grand more than a 1 year old EP3 so I went with that. I've always wanted a CTR anyway but was a bit sceptical about going from German to Jap. I ...

Re: my mapped 100 tdi couldnt beat a mini cooper?
Performance wise, diesels will be better 95% of the times but like you I wouldn't want to replace my high revving petrol for a turbo diesel, I currently drive an EP3 Civic Type R so doesn't get much more high revving with no torque lol. My fiance has my old 9n but we'd love to replace with a turbo ...

Re: my mapped 100 tdi couldnt beat a mini cooper?
I agree with most of what you are saying but the torque of a diesel, although far superior to n/a petrol engine, comes in early and drops off early too. In a drag race you'd be in the high end of the rev range so a petrol with similar peak power would be a good match for diesel car.

Re: HID question
Thanks for the replies everyone. I take it the kits from ebay will do fine then. I bought a kit from a British retailer, convert2xenon.com for my current car, EP3 Civic Type R (wanted a Mk5 GTi but they were much more expensive at the time but I'm not complaining). The kit was £120 and I'm certain ...

HID question
Hi, not been on here a while since selling my 9n. However since I told it to my now fiancé I'm back on as she is looking to fit HIDs for the winter. I've searched all over the forum and can't really find the answer to my query.
I know that HIDS4U recommend their ultimate kit as it is post 2002 ...

Re: my mapped 100 tdi couldnt beat a mini cooper?
Did you know a remapped Cooper kicks out about 130bhp? This being a petrol engine and more revs means it'll keep up with/beat a remapped 100. It's not unreasonable I don't think.

Re: HID Headlamp Conversion (9N Polo)
Any chance one of you guys can PM me the discount code too please? I sold my 9N to my now fiance so I still get to see it all the time. She wants HIDS for the winter, especially after seeing mine.
Do they require any drilling etc or is it just a straight swap and connecting ballast?
Cheers everyone.

Vibe QB69
Hi all,
Does anyone know if the QB69's are a good all round speaker, ie. mid and treble or are they just good for sheer bass? I want decent bass throughout and decent sound quality for rear passengers.
Can anyone shed any light on this for me please?
Much appreciated.

9N GTi
Hey guys, Thinking of getting a 9N GTi. I had the 1.2 version as my first car and recently bought a Civic Type R, which I love but I'm really missing my Polo. Just cant beat german quality and insurance is much cheaper too.
I just want to know if any of you know what the 0-60 times are for a APR ...
