I had a schrick 268 cam I believe (2nd hand owner not exactly sure)

Its now in Liz-Blugirls MK2 GT that I put together that was RR 1ith 99bhp with the cam, a custom chip and ashley 4 branch. I did have to file the dizzy to get enough ignition advance as the cam though the timing way out.

I tried running a tooth either way onthe cambelt on my cam but when I turned the GT over by hande the valves hit the pistons! :shock: So the filing the dizzy mount the only way.

Sounds like lack of ignition advance, as they cam are setupo to use a vernier of a different dizzy maybe but withoug filing they run to much retard so feel a bit crap to dirve I never got my MK2 GT running coudl due to that and never bothered to file the dizzy.

Well I don't own a GT now but I recently built up Liz (Bluegirls) MK2 GT useing my old engine, and that was RR with 99bhp with the following mods.

My own Custom Chip
278 schrck cam (not 100% sure on duration)
Ashley 4 Branch (blowing)
Doms old stock GT exhaust system
