mk1 Parts help!

Anyone got any contacts here or in Germany that can get their hands on some side mouldings for a 1978 Polo 1? Some f*****g t**t has just smashed in my drivers door, and apart from the massive dent and paint thats going to have to be sorted, the side strip is f****d, which leaves me in a very tricky ...

What does the socket next to the blue one do? There is nothing plugged in to that one!

Mileage of the engine is just 40k. No mayo anywhere, and fluids are fine. Its just been put in to my mk1 Polo, and I didn't have this problem when it was in the GT shell. Although I hadn't driven the GT for a month or two before it went in the mk1 (apart from the short drive to the garage).

Its ...

GT Overheating

Hi

I have a problem with my GT engine overheating. I turn on the ignition and all is fine, but when I turn over the engine the water temperature light immediately comes on, and stays on (although once for about a minute it flickered constantly). The engine then starts to heat up almost immediately ...

GT/G40 brakes?!

I've got a full GT as a donor to put the engine in to my mk1, and I was going to put G40 brakes on the front. But would the GT brakes be sufficient? I can't imagine why they wouldn't be, and it would save me a few hundred pounds!

No. GT Box also. I have a whole donor car ready. I'm going to check local garages tomorrow. But my fuel gauge doesn't work, so the dashboard may need taking apart. And I don't want any old knob head doing that.

GT > Mk1 Transplant

Hi. Does anyone have any idea who can do a engine transplant in the Sussex area. Company or one man private, I don't mind, as long as they are competant! PSD are a bit busy at the moment, otherwise I would obviously go with them.

Part #

Hi guys

Can anyone tell me the part number for a 1991 GT coupe rocker cover? Is it 030 103 469?

And would anyone know where to get polished bolts to hold the rocker cover on?

Thank you
Oli
