Fans Of The Oldskool...

I brought this car in November 2005, because of my ridiculas insurance quotes and the fact I hadnt passed my test (have now), it hasnt been driven yet. But this gave me chance to do some work on it.

Its great to see someone trying to be different with there choice of car. But, I wouldnt worry about making your money back. I am planing to keep mine until "she runs no more". Yeah, and £550 is propa dirt cheap for one in the condition it is in. I reckon if you can pick one up for under £700(ish ...

Yeah, I have seen a few Mk1's on ebay recently, they have been real nice ones, all went for around £1500(ish).
I had my heart set on a mk1, but couldnt find one anywhere, then there was about 4 or 5 on ebay at one time! :shock: There was one mint one, that i wanted, but it was 250miles away! So ...

I believe that, you cant have any tread outside the wheel arch. So slightly streched on tyres helps if you are right on the edge.......

OK, i finally have put my wheels on....! Now it just needs lowering, as you can see from the Picture! I would have put more pictures on, but I ran out of space on my camera.

I have got my lowering kit, and I am lowering it later this week (hopefully). It needs to be on the road pretty soon though ...

Sup' man, I am looking for a lowering kit aswell, I have a Mk1 Polo GLS, I am riding on some Starmags 13x7. I think i need an 80mm lowering kit.

Have you found one for yours?

My Wheels Came today! :D (those Starmags above)
I just tried them on, just to check the fitted. And they look wicked. But, now I need to lower my car!
Anyone know of anywhere where I can find a 80mm lower kit? I have found one on Ebay; £150 , but it only lowers it 60mm.

Can anyone help me ...

Cheers man, they were £400. Brand New Wheels and Tyres. I thought that was pretty good. I'll post some pics up when I put them on later this week.

cheers man, it was a big help. I have been thinking about ATS Classics for a while, but, are they too common?
There is a reason why they are so common though. Its there ability to look wicked on any MK1.
I have found some Starmags, but I hadn't seen them on a mk1 until that picture and they look ...
