New Car!

Came back from All Types on Sunday, decided to see if anything interesting on ebay and ended up buying this super clean polo saloon.

Mission 1 find a polo saloon, accomplished

Mission 2 Strip the bumpers

Mission 3 the body shop!

Lots more to come!

The interior came to tinternet and was listed as G40 so i beleived thats what it was!

As for the paint n bumpers, rust is getting in everywhere n the bumpers came cheap from a mate!

Solutions to sort out Crank case breather

Has anyone any novel or interesting ways of loosing the pipes from the breather.

Ive got a new carb with a special manifold and im not sure what to do with em!

what's the best way?

Hold on a minute, Newquay isnt that far! Im near blackpool ish, and we did it last week, no problem.

Depends where you call up north!

I'd prefer Newquay personally, Its set up for it, and the locals are used to loads of people turning up and getting pissed!

The one organised by the reno lot i went with, had convoys that came from all over meeting at services along the way.

Worked well really, we came down from preston and met up with people from the midlands then went further and picked up bristol etc, etc.

I think the same format would wourk well ...

This sounds like a right laugh,

I've just come back from Newquay on a similar event with the Renault Sports Club, It was a top weekend.

Every one met along route at various services (ala cruise) and everyone convoyed to Newquay!

Excellent! Shame they were all Reno's!

But was thinking this would ...

Uprated Internals?

Just got my hands on a lovely gt 3f lump for my breadvan,

The plan is a full rebuild at uni (I'm studying motorsports), Thanks to one of my lecturers.

But i was wondering if anyone knows of any suppliers for uprated con rods, pistons, uprated gaskets kits, etc.

Any help would greatly appreciated ...

It can be done

You have to get the splined adaptor sleeve off the golf, then cut the parrallel sleeve section off the back of the adaptor.

Et vola, 1 mk2 breadvan complete whith golf steering wheel!

I did it a xmas, when i found a gti in the breakers n got the wheel for a fiver!

Will have to ...

I had the switch to bits the other week theres very little inside it, i don't reckon it'll be the switch though.

If anything it'll be the resistor on the heater motor i reckon.

Poly Bushes

I've been hunting round for a bit and Venom do a full set of inner, outer and anti roll bar bushes for £70

Hoping to do mine in jan, just waiting for the next installment of my loan!
