Hi, Just got some 6x9's for my Mk4 polo and just have a few questions: 1) Can the speakers be directly plugged into the back of the HU via the phono inputs? or do they have to pass through an amp first? 2) Is there any wiring on the Mk4 to help connect the rear speakers? or do i have to run speaker ...

sorry forgot the prices for the inserts, but the bumpers were around the £120 mark.

About the bumpers

Forgot thier number but call VAGParts.co.uk. I recently enquired about 16v bumpers and yes they can provide the inserts for them, and of course the actual bumpers themselves.

yeah, most likely to be a loose wire behind the HU.

remove the HU and check all cabling, it could be just a loose spade connector thats not crimped correctly. (if you're using a custom HU anyway)
