think i had the same problem when mine was dropping a cylinder when it was under strain. turned out to be the piston surrounding that had worn.

Can't believe the insurance group of a 16v, i know they have the extra bhp but 1.4 engine in group 10 is stupid, plus ... means i can't afford one!!

hey! I'm thinking about getting my boot smoothed, and so removing the bagde, number plate holder & handle and i just wondered would something like the following be all i need to still gain acess into my boot?

dunno if this helps towards your problem but when i thought i had a faulty thermostat then it turned out to be something like the piston surrounding. the thermostat would start around half way but, then went down a little then constantly went up, especialy when the engine was under strain/getting ...
