im looking at a 95k miles p reg damaged repairable polo for a cheap runaround. the cambelt snapped and the head is damaged. the guy said the bottom end would be ok as he said he contacted vw and they said the pistons ect would be untouched.

id be looking for a used cly/head and doing the job myself ...
