Re: Gearbox or clutch? Loud clicking noise

Gearboxes on these are made of cheese. It could well be the box if it’s speed related and goes when you clutch down so get it tested

Re: Unknown noise

The 1.4 is a turbo engine, thats just the turbo spooling up and dumping the unused air

Re: gearbox oil leak - VW 1.9PD Tdi 5 speed

That’s the 5th gear cover. It can be removed in situ but drain the oil first or you’ll get covered

It could well be leaking from there. I had a look through your photos and it’s hard to see

You can see that side from looking behind the passenger wheel

Re: Exhaust fitting - Golf to Polo compatability

With some modifications, it might fit. The golf's floor plan is quite different to the polo

Engine itself is very similar. Are you looking turbo back or cat back?

Re: Genuine VW Polo 9N3 roof rack - auxiliary profiles?

Yes id maybe suggest some very thin rubber - perhaps stick on neoprene or rubber sheet to cover the inside of the feet to stop it damaging the bodywork

Re: Burning oil after 1000 kilos

Black smoke is over fuelling - 20w50 is too thick for the 6n2. You should always use 10W40

I would suggest the head needs an overhaul. Sounds like your valve guides are worn. The fact the timing is off wont help at all

Those are the ones, but i would normally lean towards either original VW or Thule rather than a make like this

Almost certainly not the pipe. The hoses generally outlive the car
