Re: Polo 9n 2002 running issues

Fuel filter and dirty throttle body would be two things to check and sort

Re: Replaced Starter - Still Grinding noise

They will but be sure to buy a decent set. Cheap ones much very easily. They are designed to be hand extracted too with a handle and not a drill :)

It’s an M6x8 or 10 from memory. I can probably dig the part number out as it’ll be specific

Re: Replaced Starter - Still Grinding noise

Goodo

The abs bolts - you’ll want some heat on the bolt (what’s left of it) and you’ll probably want to drill it out if there’s nothing left for you to get a pair of grips onto after breaking out the abs sensor

Re: Replaced Starter - Still Grinding noise

You might want to check the bush it locates into on the gearbox housing (on the middle pin of the starter motor gearing), as if this wears down youll quickly ruin a new starter. If alternator is running high, that can damage all sorts. Replace the voltage regulator on the back of the alternator and ...

Re: stereo and key remote central locking help please

The RCN210 would work, so that would be a good option

All aftermarkets come with fascias for the corners. This series of polo uses a standard double din so single or double din aftermarket radios will fit without issue.

Re: stereo and key remote central locking help please

Welcome The S doesnt have remote central locking - youll need to install a kit to make it remote central locking. Rclick.co.uk do some very good kits, and theres an install guide at the top of the DIY Guides section on the forum Stereo wise, get something newer is the easiest option. A Pioneer SPH-D...

Re: Airbag in seat

The system will know an airbag has been deployed so youll get an airbag light unless you put a resistor across the terminals to simulate like when replacing the steering wheel with a non-airbag one

Re: 6n2 sdi - tdi

Reasonably straight swap. Engine, engine loom, clocks and immobiliser and it should be ok

The TDI however i think might have a higher pressure fuel rail so there may be other bits to swap

A poor bodywork TDI would be the best option then swap it all through to the SDI

Re: Oil and oil filter check

No, you’ll want to keep the undertray on. It stops the engine getting filthy and improves airflow

Re: Slippy pedals

Pick up a set of VW/audi foot pedal covers from a mk1 TT or similar. Super cheap on ebay (albeit not genuine, the quality is good)

Re: nothing on key turn, fuse blown?

Glad you got it working

Window wise, its likely broken wires between the door and the body as this is very very common now. Pull the rubber boot back and check the wiring for splits and breaks

Re: Oil and oil filter check

Youll need to be up on axle stands or a ramp Theres two screws at the back of the undertray and push fit clips inside the wheel arches that snap rather easily. After the screws are removed it just pulls down from the back towards the front of the car Its easier to use a suction oil changer on these ...

Re: Petrol tank sender/ tank hole

I see your problem You have a carb engine, as the sender number states The listing however states: Only suitable for petrol fuel injection engines and DIGIJET carburettors (TWC) Not for diesel or carburettor enginges! The part number for the tank you require is either 867 201 075C or 867 201 075G de...
