Re: Photo Hosting is now enabled

Try strip it down. Post only the URL with the jpg on the end inside an [ img ] set of brackets. Ie. [ img ] url.jpg /[ img ]

I’ve put extra spaces in to be able to show you the formatting

Re: After market radio

All you need is this

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre ... 1852608370

The opening is a standard DIN size so doesn’t need converting for the radio itself

Re: After market radio

As I’ve said above, you need a universal single din pocket to fill the void then the cage for the new radio will just fit. Nothing specific to the car is needed apart from the pocket the radio and the loom adapter

Re: After market radio

Nothing additional. You already have the shelf

It’s just a standard single din radio you need and the appropriate lo adapter if necessary

If you don’t have the shelf you just need a universal single din shelf from eBay or amazon

Re: Gearbox oil

Its best to use what VW specify is correct. Some boxes need 75W-80, others need 75W-90. I'd suggest a quick call to your local dealer to see what is spec.

VW genuine gearbox oil generally provides the best shift quality.

Re: 1.2 coil plugs

Likely to be the coil packs. For what they cost, pick up new ones from either Euro or GSF with one of their discount codes. Used ones will likely fail

Re: How do I get into fuse box?

It just pops open, the screws are nothing to do with opening the cover

The diagnostic port is accessible without removing the fuse box. Can you post a pic of what you are seeing?

Re: Newbie alert! Gear selection issues!

Welcome

This could be a case of a badly adjusted linkage but could also by a synchromesh problem in the gearbox which isn’t uncommon
