Re: Pops out of 5th when accelerating

You need the three letter code. 085 is the series but there’s a code like DXB stamped on the bottom of the gearbox which identifies it

Re: Thermostat Housing

There isn’t a need to but a sealant such as Hylomar Blue can be used

Re: Polo Dune 1.4 16v Problems *One for the gurus!*

I’d agree it sounds like a leak somewhere. Maybe do a smoke test to validate the theory

Re: Rough/boost on idle

You have a vacuum leak somewhere. Check all your vacuum hoses and do a smoke test if that doesn’t show anything.

Unplugging the MAF temporarily should stabilise the engine confirming you have an air leak somewhere

When I did this, I brought it out to the right under the steering wheel on the little shelf so I could plug my phone in and leave it there

Re: 6n 12v Always on. Can It be switched via ignition?

As above. For more clarity 86 goes to the something with an ignition live or the wire marked 15 on the ignition switch housing

Your window regulator sounds like the wires may have snapped. I’d suggest picking up a new one as they aren’t cost effective to repair being a manual

Re: How to fix the 6N2 ABS Signal Outside Specifications Fault

Non acetoxy curing silicone

Sump gasket sealant for example or similar

Chemical cure silicones release vapour which can damage the circuitry

Re: Overheating

Heater and the thermostat aren’t related. It’s two seperate circuits If the radiator isn’t hot it’s almost certainly the thermostat as the coolant will never circulate through the radiator and just gets hotter and hotter in the engine block Also if you have air con you should have two fans rather th...
