Re: BBS RX2 (GTI Split Rims) Refurb Guide

You’ll need to get a local engineering shop to drill them out. Titanium is tough to drill through without the right drills and it needs to be completely level too

Re: Cluster & fuel pump issue

Normally it’s the earth into the gearbox

The ignition switch cannot be repaired. It’s cheap to replace in any case.

Re: Cluster & fuel pump issue

Yes the cluster could have a damaged board. A bad earth on these is also often a cause

Id also be removing that button and replacing the ignition switch to get it back to how it should be originally

Re: Turning off the lock/unlock 'beep beep'

It will disable the alarm and the beep. It comes from the same unit

I would think there’s someone near you that has VCDS that’ll resolve this for you

Even software like Carista on a Bluetooth ODB2 dongle can do this - that’s another option.

Normally 5W30 long life 3 is the recommended grade but 5W40 is also acceptable for regular time and distance changes.

BBY in a 6N2 might be troublesome. Different engine management for a start. In a 9N it’s easy

Re: Exhaust options: Polo GTI

I think from TPS pricing was under £50 for the backbox. youll definitely want the sleeve kit (around a tenner) Its JZW as its gone to Four+ parts now. Many of the 6N0 parts have been dropped, or in this case, renumbered. The quality is identical to the original 6N0 part, its just a new pressing. Som...

Process is much the same. Old box off, new box on. Torque settings should be the same between them

Re: 92 polo coupe dash cluster removal

Pinched from another source: two screws for the pod switch panel, unplug the switches as you draw it out. Steering wheel might get in the way, might wanna remove it. Pod itself is another two screws, lens tilts downward for easy way out once you've unplugged the speedo drive,if you need it out. Speedo ...

If its that new, take it straight back to the dealer and have them diagnose it. That sounds a bit concerning

Re: Full beams won't work!

Check the fuses for your highbeams

On the 6N, its a H4 dual filament bulb, so its possible the high beam filament has burned out.

Re: AHW Replacement Engine

Yes it is related to the gearbox housing. AHW is an AHW. Blocks are identical. Its the ancillary parts that differ
