Re: cylinder deactivation question

I thought it better to be honest than bluff it lol

For some odd reason i thought COD/ACT was a 4 to 3 deactivation, rather than 4 to 2 lol

I've since educated myself against the VW self learn programme :D

Re: cylinder deactivation question

I wouldnt be surprised if this is by design. The start stop only works when the engine is warm, so cylinder deactivation probably works on the same principle as 3 cylinders over 4 when cold would have a bigger performance hit.

Re: Losing coolant....on and off

Could be a number of things. Split radiator, thermostat housing, leaking hose

Coolant is bright pink or bright green depending on what’s in your car so you should be able to trace where it’s coming from

Re: HELP!! Problem with VW Bluetooth Handsfree Kit - TPK Music

The glovebox cable will be the MDI cable

The USB for the TPK isn’t included with the car

Re: Polo Colour Concept Numbers.

No that was the harlequin. That was a 6N special edition

Colour concepts had a colour coordinated leather interior and came in blue, green, black, red and yellow

They also had different alloy wheels to any other mode in the range

Re: Polo Colour Concept Numbers.

You can request the info from the DVLA. Otherwise, its relying on the other websites that already exist for it.

Re: Replacement Headlights

That round plug you have pictured isnt the headlights by the way. Thats something else

There should be wires going into the back of each headlight - can you check.

Re: Replacement Headlights

Right ok, so you do have an early one with the round connector as i thought.

You dont have headlight levelling motors either - thats the dash dimmer switch.

let me see if i can find an adapter loom. Else, you may need different front lights. Where did you get them from?

Re: Replacement engine

No they are just sensors. It’s only codeable modules that you have to worry about

Immobiliser is paired to the ECU and clocks

So long as you touch neither it’s all good
