Re: MOT fail (position/fog lamp, brakes, emissions)

hour tops, its reasonably easy to remove on these. Whilst you are at it, check over every visible pipe, and also make sure the exhaust manifold, cat, and flexi arent cracked

Possibly. Its air coming in after what the engine is expecting via the intake.Smoke test might be helpful

Re: RCD 210 upgrade

RCD330G+ is probably one of the best OEM options around

There is an adapter lead you can get to bypass the canbus requirement, any double din radio will fit with a fascia kit

Yes, but very gently. Those clips will VERY easily snap off due to the type of plastic they use

Re: MOT fail (position/fog lamp, brakes, emissions)

CO is normally a sign of air entering the engine after the MAF, as its already metered it so it fuels appropriately. A split hose somewhere etc can cause all sorts of issues

Re: MOT fail (position/fog lamp, brakes, emissions)

You can smell rich running very easily. Another thing to check is that your MAF is working correctly and there are no vacuum leaks

Re: MOT fail (position/fog lamp, brakes, emissions)

Looks quite sooty, i'd say its over fuelling for sure

The biggest thing now is the CO content. How fuelly does it smell now?
