6N and 6N2 engines have some silimarities but for the most part they are very different. Gearbox ratios aren’t the same and the 6N2 has a lot more engine management A lot of the parts are interchangeable though. Seats can be swapped, steering wheel, even the entire dashboard and doorcards if you are...

It is clipped in at the bottom. you have to remove the backrest, then you can release the tabs and the tension on the fabric and it comes up and off, the backing pad will stay attached though as this has wires on it. This isnt a job for the feint hearted and its important to get the fabric back on c...

Youll need to remove the backrest on both seats (old and new) strip the fabric off, swap it all over

Its a few hours work

A decent auto interior shampoo (either foam based in a can, or spray based like Autoglym interior shampoo) and a soft brush works well

Yes it should be swappable - just be careful as its fiddly

And no, its not an MOT failure. They generally dont test it.

They dont do much at idle - thats right

Id be looking at a vac leak or something to that effect. It could even be loss of compression or a faulty coilpack.
