Re: Screenwas leak 2003 1.2. Reservoir?

It’s quite easily accessed from the front. Fill it up and see if the water is rushing out. It’s quite possible one of the hoses has split of the unions ha popped apart

Its to do with the EGR, but not something you would pay a great deal of attention to

Check you have no vacuum leaks as that can cause a poor idle.

Re: 9n 1.4 16v AUB EGR delete ?

I see. Could you drill it out to support a pin rivet like that?

Cable tie would probably be sufficient to be honest. The intake doesnt get very hot.

You absolutely MUST NOT PRESS THE BUTTON when removing it. You need special tools to release the button which arent easily available.

Re: 9n 1.4 16v AUB EGR delete ?

You might have to modify something instead or try fix whats left of the clips you have

The later BBZ engine has them moulded into the inlet manifold as they are made entirely of plastic.

Re: Replacement engine

It sounds like the TB isnt allowing idle properly. Is it sparkling clean? 650rpm is a bit low for idle. It should be closer to 800

The EGR adaption is a bit of a wierd one, as it can cause the engine to stall. I had the same behaviour on my brother in laws mk5 golf 1.6 FSI
