Re: No interior lights working

As I recall, there is a fuse for this. Whilst it goes via the BCM, it is still fused

Re: What is this for? Polo 6N. Air filter pipe.

That should be the one. Usually available in a variety of places. Bear in mind anything used will almost certainly be going soft, or will have hardened up due to age and heat so new is ideally the best way If however your hose is ok, you’ll need the oil seperator itself which is an inexpensive part - ...

Re: What is this for? Polo 6N. Air filter pipe.

Depends on your engine code. There’s a few versions

Do you know what yours is? (And what year)

Re: What is this for? Polo 6N. Air filter pipe.

If it’s being blown off, you’ve got excessive positive crankcase pressure. Possibly need a new oil separator on the back of the block

Re: Is the forum dead?

Welcome!

There arent that many mk2 owners around now. Some of us still browse around (those of us who have or have had this era of polo)

By all means post up, but it may take a while to get a reply on some things

Re: Gearboxes, gear oil, and levels

I’m surprised after 30k you are noticing a notchy shift again. Usually a gearbox will happily do 60-70k without needing a change

Re: Gearboxes, gear oil, and levels

It’s a tough one. Fuchs and Febi are significantly better than Mannol but they aren’t approved, they only meet the standard

Have a look on eBay - you can often get genuine on there for a fair bit less than the dealer
