Mate i'm sorry, but someone turned up with cash, bought the car and the wheels, I wasnt advertising it! As soon as i took him out for a spin he came back with cash. I still havent got the v5 back from the dvla, so it would of been a while before you'd of got it, the guy who bought it didnt ...

some how, i dont think a car having an extra 100 brake and 4wd is "slightly faster" than a polo gti....

Dont get me wrong, mk5 gtis are nice, just not worth all the extra cash IMO.

Your paying an extra 4k or so for climate control, xenons, 200 extra cc's etc.

I'll throw some in of my old mk4.... long gone now though!

maybe, but the point is one costs 3-4k more than the other.

Also, you asked for opinions, people gave them.

Dont ask a question if you know you wont like the answer.

People where just trying to suggest other options, and the many of other cars you could spend that 6k on.

The reason everyone said that, was because you could spend 6k on a polo gti, then watch the money fall off it after a couple years.

Or you could spend half the price on a 1.4 16v mk4, and still get the same if not more performance.

Only real differnce, is creature comforts, and they look better ...
