I've got the VW one, you shouldn't buy any others! you have to be careful but it'll be as good as you are skillful.... Never a truer word said! If your repair is not 100% then you might as well just circle it with a contrasting colour and add an arrow! Just try to minimise the risk of rust and leav...

£50.35 from VW. Brakes, headlight adjustment, wipers, washer jets, bulbs and exhaust :) Yes take note of the above - especially the indicator bulbs as the orange paint falls off them around this period in the car's life - check all four "big ones" - access to the rears via a hole in the ...

Its just the oil and or gas being forced through the transfer orifice in the tube - quite normal.
Alternative sane suspension fixes - check up on a technical forum like Briskoda (Fabia) and Seat forum .net (Ibiza 6L) to see what others are doing - and they are doing it!

Re the engine code - you should find a paper printed label that includes a barcode on top of the cam belt cover - plastic cover on LHS of engine maybe hidden by the air cleaner assembly. The engine code should be three letters (upper case) followed by 5 or 6 numbers - that bit is the actual s/n of y...

An absolute MUST! Also maybe get they to change the front-rear bushes for the Seat Ibiza Cupra ones, if they are starting to tear - if they complain just say that you want this to avoid VW's product wasting your time - you never know it might just work!!

I thought iPod etc could be used with a transmitter and you just tune one pre-set to it and "Bob's your uncle". That is what my daughter did when she came upon CD player problems in her Ibiza 6K.

Good, now you will be confident that the front wheels are pointing in the right direction! I've discovered (well I noticed this as soon as I got the bushes fitted) that the driver's side bush seems to be fitted in reverse AND it has a rotational orientation of 5>10 degrees - this means that while th...

My tip would be to either get a single VW cd player or the VW multidisc player from ebay - just wait until one appears within your price range. The storage tray thing just pulls out, the radio moves up to the top slot, while the radio is out of its slot fit the illumination wiring cable,a separating...

As a Polo 9N owner, I don't want to be a pain in the bum, but for any action on Polo and Fabia and for that matter currently include Ibiza 6L, the only place to be is Briskoda.net - these guys really worked hard to get a worth while online resource going and it shows by its activity. Lets face it, V...

Hi Chris, Thanks. Will check that out. I am still trying to figure out how to remove the spark plug coil to access the spark plug. Any idea Alex Hi, the code you found (earlier) is not the engine code - it should be a three letter code - you need this to get your parts. Right removing coils from pl...

Yes that seems okay as long as it means genuine VAG parts all round - and remember that extra relay pulley if your kit does not include it (ie if your engine is BBY etc 75PS 1.4 petrol).

The Haynes manual for the 9N Polo will not be totally correct for your car - but the 9N3 is just a version of facelift of the original 9N1 or 9N2. It will be a lot better than nothing, unless you buy a copy of ElsaWin on ebay that includes your model year of car. Did you manage to find the engine co...

How do I get the engine code? Thanks. Sorry very new to VAG cars. <y first one in fact. Hope to get a used Gof Gti in the near future when there are lots of the current model in the second hand market. Alex The engine code should be on the data sheet stuck to the inside of the service book and also...

WRT pulling to the left, my wife's 9N Polo never really had this problem other than what you would expect with road camber, in fact now that it has had a full camber etc reset after getting the TCA bushes changed (to Seat Ibiza Cupra), there is no veering with hands off - unless due to extreme camber.

My air intake pipe just fits inside either the underside of this cover - which is the aircleaner by the way, or stays with this "cover" and fits inside the snorkle or something. On my car there is a small pipe to pull off this "cover" at the rear right hand side. BTW what is your...
